I got Of Blood and Fire and The Fall all done started this one last night it's definitely off to the races so far it only gets better and better, Great review keep up the good content
You were definitely right, just finished it in 2 days and was hoping there were even more pages to get through! He’s definitely upgraded his writing. Any ideas how long the series will be as I’m really hoping it’s not a trilogy since it seems like a lot of things to tie up!
Awesome! Without going off to check it, I think I recall the plan being for five books, plus some novellas. I could definitely be wrong on that, but it was certainly "longer than a trilogy".
Excellent review!! I literally just finished Of Blood and Fire and immediately came here to check out this review. Both The Fall and Of Blood and Fire were 4.5 star reads for me, so I am SO excited for Of Darkness and Light to come out; it's already pre-ordered! Really fun to hear that this is more of a multiple POV story, I am looking forward to spending more time with all of these characters. Thanks for recommending this series, I am so glad I picked it up because of your glowing reviews!! :)

Great review! I usually love book 1 in a series the best but I agree that character work, descriptions, plot, etc all are even better in this one and I definitely enjoyed this one a whole lot more. Love to see the improvements and can’t wait to see how that goes in the coming books.
Then John Gwynne will have some competition in there! I definitely think ODAL is better than some of the current top ten, but I won't change any scores to try to fudge it, I have to go with what I scored in the moment (although my preferences might change over time, as might my harshness etc in the rating).

Absolutely. I've said a few times that I tend to like books more the deeper into a series they go - this one has started out strong!

Just finished Of Darkness and Light, and it was phenomenal! I scored it almost 20 points higher than I rated Of Blood and Fire.
