That was challenging getting through all the different layers of concrete from over the years. Also, great see Capt Kleeman on the job again. You have a great team and it is fun to watch! Keep up the great work and videos.
When you can work and have a good time with other people on the job site it makes a world of a difference always awesome to see how y’all all get along with each other
@@DirtPerfect i agree mike its like the deere dealers here too deeres the worst dealers in history lol wich they never bother to help me out for equipment buying only good dealer i have was kubota and honda the best support from them
Good video again good job with the bucket around the house That was some good good operating equipment my friend y’all had fun down the antenna pole good job be safe my friend make grandma happy
Now if you add that bit you pulled from the ground that was anchoring the tower, you look like your a lot closer to the 40 feet you said... I love how grandma kept looking and watching from the door... For as long ago as that was poured.. That looked to be some very hard crete and they surely wanted to make sure that was solid... Can't wait to see the next exciting episode...
@@DirtPerfect Mike i have something in the mail. Going first to haley logging then to. Wade and steve. Then l to my brother stumpjumper and last stop to nutsy.319. All are signing it. If you had the time that would be an awesome bonus, if you have time thanks Todd
Those towers are nice, especially for antennas, a whole lot better than a single skinny pole. Wish I could get ahold of one, I'd just hate to ever need to move it. This is the type of videos I need to watch, I've got my own house project coming up rather quickly. Not ready for it but excited to get under way!
That space would look awesome with a nice @AquascapePond with waterfall, lillie's, and maybe some koi. 🤗. Very low maintenance and nice relaxing sounds of water. 😉🎉
Watching you, Matt, Capt.K, MBTS work together is a pleasure. Seldom do you see a crew that works so well together. And make it look like fun not work.
Group of working guys getting along on the job, joking, talking, and helping teach Matt some more skills is a great thing to see. Doesnt always work like that as we all know. When you can enjoy your work day, it no longer feels like you're at work.
Didn’t even know it but grandma had a bunker for a house. That was some thick concrete. Nice to see a group of guys having a good time and getting work done. Getting closer to pouring more concrete. Stay safe. Bruce from Mason Michigan
I say you all will hit that Lamp Post soon, maybe during the concrete pour for the footing, or the ICF pour, and my guess is Mike will do it, any takes. Like the fact that people will do nice things for there family, keep up the good work.
Nice video as always Mike. Grandma is surely going to be happy with this project. Guess we’ll have to wait for the next video to see what the change in wall block is for, guess the cliff hangers keep us coming back!
Saturday morning, my first cup of coffee, and a destruction video. BONUS taking down a TV tower!! I was very curious how you would attempt this without Logger Wade, but you did exactly what I would have done.
Sometime Mike I wonder when you guys get together whether I'm watching a serious company or comedy central, as you guys have too much fun but I love it keep up the great work.
The 40 front structure is for an old school HAM radio . There is some good valve in the antenna in a dieing hobby. The antenna portion is very awkward as you all found out , but good guiding
Here would have been my idea. Raise the mini boom as high as it would go, ratchet strap the tower to the bucket. Cut only the back leg use the mini to guide it to the ground. those two front legs would have bent as you swung the mini boom and gently lower it to the ground but that's just me. What you all did worked as well.
I was thought that looked good. Or, tie a tag line to somebody from the upstairs window. Twenty five years ago I conned some friends into helping me set a 32 ft stamped steel (Rohn) tower. One friend brought his son in law. The kid got on the roof and pulled a rope tied up on the tower.
Ya bunch a young whippersnappers!, nobody mentioned the "Hello lamppost"? Simon & Garfunkel's 59th st. bridge song...with the flowers it fits perfect-ly!! Jeepers!!!
It appears that it is going to be very functional for grandma! Is it easier to break concrete with a sharp pointed chisel end or a flat, blunted end. ?? Both being used on same machine.
Mike, really enjoy your videos. One piece of equipment that you use often, but spend very little time highlighting, is your laser level. While its set up and operation are second nature to you by now, I’d love to see some more detail about the calculations that go into establishing grade and some “tips and tricks” for use and setting it up. Situations when you are running a slope (rather then level grade) would be good. Do you run a slope manually or does your laser have a slope function? Keep up the good work! We have some projects for you but the commute to NE Ohio would be tough.
Today would have been a great day for having an Engcon tilt rotator with easy oil fitted and attachments. Expensive but cheaper than extra workers and machines to hammer
Searching for work, 1980,Dallas TX, Superintendent "John King" breaking ground Warner-Amex telecommunication building for Dallas, Ft. Worth! Me with long hair, (A FL. Carpenter) (Pregnant Wife) started as laborer, 90 pnd jackhammer, 7-10hr days a wk. Until I proved to that man...... Bring in your tools, I was a Carpenter. $30.00 per hr. Not bad!
Grandpa really, _REALLY_ didn't want that antenna tower to fall down! Mike, you could have used that tower at the shop for the base station for a two way radio system. Hope the globes on the lamp, as well as all of grandma's decorations inside survived the job!
I'd suggest getting ahold of some Ham operators to take down the next tower. We usually use ropes to guide the tower in the direction we want them to go.
Yes I enjoyed this vid it's allways good learning a few other thing that ya have a idea how to do but but not exacley remember after a few years ..getting old and memory fails ya now and then lmao but I did enjoy the vid and hope I can catch the next vid tommorow ..but till then godbless
Much better plan with the footer and ICF. Was wondering if the stem wall gets bricked? That baby CAT pounded out that concrete nicely. Good job extracting it around the meter and downspout. My neighbor returned a tape measure with my name on it a while back, I’d left it sitting on the top of a post in his pole barn when we built it 15 years ago. He saw something orange setting there and got it down. After using it for a couple of years he saw my name on it. He is my cousin and has the last name... when he was reading a note I left him it clicked. That’s why the name in the tape didn’t look right. It was in my handwriting, not his!
@@williammatthews2948 There’s an idea... I’m hit and miss. There are a few that need it. This vid reminded me to do it... and I’ll add my first initial so my cousin knows it’s mine!

Ha! It was 40 feet long, 3 and a half feet were in the concrete.

Which would have been code for a ham radio antenna tower for that height
These were probably the hardest brick posts I have seen.
They could build firmly in the past.

I reckon grandma only put that tape on the glass because Curly, Moe and Larry might not realise it was there and try and walk right through it.
🤣
Or put a mini bucket thru it, ya think?
🤣 🤣 🤣
If you will notice it was after kleenman showed up
Wish you was closer to tennessee I'd love to have that tower.
waitin for the lamp post to leap in yelling down mr . president!
I like that antenna tower. Thought for sure something would slip and fall the wrong way, and then Grandma would of had a switch after you guys.
