The HOPO threshold thing is getting more baffling, as it seems to be different depending on if the note prior to it is a chord. At both :35 and 2:05 there are notes after chords that are HOPO's, even though in the first case the distance is the same between the two notes as every other 12th note in the chart that aren't HOPO's, and in the second case it's only a sixteenth but in the final build that note isn't a HOPO. As far as I'm aware, it wasn't possible to even make a single note a HOPO directly after a chord where that single note is also the same color as a note in that chord until Harmonix made an engine capable of manually marking HOPO's in RB2. I'm really incredibly curious to see what the thought processes behind these engine changes were.
I prefer the final chart tbh, as much that cover isn't as great as the original, it still has some parts that are more accurate to that one. And also, even tho they don't do much on this game, it has more hopos than the proto chart lol.
this cover was always so cool to me, cause they replaced piano with a guitar. not enough songs did that
@@tylernichols2392 nah they just kept piano, no new cover or anything
Interesting how the prototype has a HOPO at 2:05 when the final release doesn't, given that usually it is the other way around.
The covers really not that bad. Freddie is just hard to imitate
I think the singer does a good job at trying to imitate him, doesnt sound exactly like Freddie but its close
Kira Yoshikage and Kawajiri Kousaku comparison.
This song is the queen of the game (personal opinion)
BAISO NO BAKUDAB BITE THE DUST
3:11 lol the cymbal tap
Btw, in the ending section it looks like a lead/rhythm chart
the characters represent their genre in the prototype
johnny - punk
clive - classic?
axl - metal
pandora - numetal
that was the idea till neversoft took over. I miss it
Yup. Judy is "alterna", Izzy is "Hair metal", Xavier is "hip-hop", and Grim is a poorly drawn skull lol.
@@aWiseMoose what does the skull look like? Any source?
@@aWiseMoose I thought Xavier was also "psychedelic" or "funk"
Most interesting comparison so far

I like more trills at end in proto, its strangely mixed but i always liked playing those.
Forgot the HOPO's in final and strums in final between 0:23 - 0:27

Base Score between the two, you can tell that the Chords was what made the difference.
"Killer Queen but it's more deadly."
It sounds like they charted two separate guitars playing single notes as chords in the solo
Thank god, the final version is the superior one
“She’s a killer quueeeeeen!”
Interesante
What’s “nu METAL” doing playing a Queen song? Shouldn’t that be Clive’s thing?
I mean, yeah probably, but I just chose a character for each venue and stuck with it
Rip freddy mercury
