I don't think it is, there is a smooth sound when it's moved manually and it doesn't get stuck. I think it's just the way the rubber is shaped. On a side note, it's been a while. How've you been?
Would you be willing to restore mine when I get home from my training program later this year? I'm blind, and don't feel safe opening him up. I want someone who knows what they're doing to do it
@@candyish oh my God thank you thank you thank you I don’t want to have to get another one. Would you be able to make him a new skin or something and make him look like a real singing fish? His tail is like falling off completely. I should be home from my program in December.
My grandma had a boogie bass and 1 year after he pass away my grandma gave it to me and it fully works
Yours is in beautiful shape! You did a great job restoring it!
I honestly don’t think any boogie bass can be perfect, so this is the best it’ll get.

I can do this for you if you're still looking for someone to repair him, I recently fixed mine up without any problems.
