I even had one guy that spoke purposely slowly and would only respond to pre-filled worksheets. Multiple sessions were centered around my relationship with my wife and kids; I have never been married or have had children. Another one of their "therapists" kept nudging me to convert to Christianity.

Beavers are quite useful. They create they own habitat which in return benefits insects, trees, plants, insects, birds and even fishes. Especially in dry areas they also help in holding the water for longer.
The BH sponsorship is massively detracting from what was otherwise a good, proper SideQuest. The best thing I can say is that they didn't interfere with the video content, but they're a predatory business abusing the most vulnerable in our society.

Actually after World War One two Canadian soldiers use their pensions to start a beaver farm. The largest problem was they forgot one thing beavers are monogamous and since in the enclosure they where kept the beaver’s refused to cheat on their mate

We don't think of it now, but the first evidence of domesticated dogs in Siberia were raised as livestock either partially or fully. Domesticated horses in the steppes have long been raised for meat and their mares milk drank and fermented. Then obviously goats, sheep, cattle, pigs and chickens were raised for meat. One domesticated meat animal not much considered now but very important historically was pigeon. Considering all you mentioned above Beaver would not be a great food source after being domesticated.

Yeah I'm pretty sure any one of those people can tell you why beavers were not domesticated. An obsessive compulsive animal with a relatively slow turnover of generations and excessive space needs that involve altering the natural landscape in massive ways. Yeah these are not animals that are well suited to fences or limited space. It's possible for creatures to be less compatible with domestication, but not easily. Also keep in mind that European beavers are especially difficult compared to American beavers from what I've heard.

I'm not disputing that their fur was valuable, but medieval Christians were also allowed to eat beaver on the many fish days, since it's obviously a fish, even though from a culinary perspective, one might be tempted to use words such as "red" and "meat".
