    Steven was 75 here… still singing like he was 30… larynx/vocal cord tissue at 75 yrs old just won’t hold up … so sad… but simply amazing he could sing and hit all the notes into his mid 70’s… We were blessed to have them as long as we did

    Aerosmith has been my favorite band since I was 15 years old (30 now). I’ve always fantasized about seeing them live, so when I saw that they were going on their farewell tour, I had to get tickets. Sadly, Steven injured his larynx before I could go. It will always be one of my great regrets to never get to see them live and loud. But they gave us over 50 years of memories to cherish. To Steven Tyler, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Joe Fuckin’ Perry, there’s no way to express how much you have all given me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.

    Back in the Saddle alone is enough to shred the larynx of any other singer. I can remember listening to Live Bootleg 40+ years ago, marveling how Steven could not only sing that every night on tour but how they opened the show with it! It hurts that they had to pull the plug earlier than they wanted to, but not only did Steven's voice hold out beautifully, the entire original band is still alive, one of the very few bands that have that distinction!

And watch how they started as a band and see all their highlight performances remade by talented actors that can play the guitar drums and bass also sing high Notes like Steven Tyler‘s.

    • @NPK476
      @NPK476 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Rock is dead in terms as it's not the most dominant form of music anymore in the mainstream. The only big rock bands are boomer nostalgia rock bands that are slowly going away. Rock will never be dead in the sense that people will always listen to it, much like classical music or jazz. Rock will go through cycles and pop up for a short period of time, but it will never dominate the charts and airwaves like it once did. The music will never be dead but the cultural phenomenon is indeed dead.

      @@NPK476 Well you hit on it yourself there the culture. What when there’s barely no bands let alone rock at what were established rock festivals?! I see a cultural decline with effectively everyone’s formative years now firmly in electronic / rap and I do mean formative years; toddlers aren’t going to shred an arpeggio but I’ve seen rap utilized in crèches as a “fun” method to learn just to talk. Often finding with new bands they’ve that very history, it’s been going on for some time I think we’re in huge trouble going ahead

      @@ARyan-nf5my It's interesting how you made a point on development. Do you remember 12-14 years ago when the "Guitar Hero" games became immensely popular? I remember thinking and even having discussion that it was going to renew an interest and we would have an explosion of rock/metal music from new a new generation influenced by those games, but it never happened, it's almost like the kids playing those games viewed it as a novelty, (and it certainly was in a way). Rock and metal has gone through droughts before, but this seems different, IDK, perhaps that's just my perception.

      @@NPK476 yeh never happened because it’s not hip .. not hip-hop I think the best we can hope for is a rock n roll attitude at least I mean the most electrifying cutting edge live act I have seen recent times is London electronic / rap act The Prodigy and even those guys are from a previous century. Weened on rock and here we are 2024 nobody even picked up that baton, I mean techno-punk you’d sooner see that too in a game now. Truth bombs man I think you lose the very essence of rocknrolla and the whole scene may as well died on its ass regardless!

      Strangely, Tom Hamilton just claimed that Steven fractured his larynx in a fall early in the show & that it was not injured from singing. Odd that this was never said before & true, he sounds good through the whole show..

      Do you even believe those claims?? They've been cancelling shows non stop since 2019. They are old and couldn't hold up. Also the fill in drummer was a mess I can't imagine how hard it was for them to play without Joey which makes no sense to me why they decided to throw him out. Idk..it was a sad end to a great band. I secretly hope this is a stunt to cover money issues with the promoter and insurance and will come back for a final global tour with Joey and a different approach.
