Took the family for a quick break up Cameron Highlands, and we stopped at a few good places for food in Ipoh too! It was also the first time we visited the Mossy Forest and we used a tour guide because the road up is quite treacherous, and you can't drive a private car up to the place anymore. Our guide was Mr. Govin and it is one of the most interesting tours I have taken, so much to learn about Cameron Highlands and how people live there, as well as a science and nature lesson. We also learned how to pick tea and make our own tea at home!
We have been to Cameron Highlands a few times but this was really special, highly recommended to book a tour with Let's Go Discovery!

Very good idea to take the jeep tour. Got good guide and also save having to drive through all the narrow hilly terrain 👍

Is it easy to drive to Ipoh from KL then to Cameron highlands? Non malaysian jere husband would be driving first time in malaysia on the trip....

Yes madam it is very easy. From Kuala Lumpur there are 2 ways to go up to Cameron Highlands. The nearest route is to use the North-South Highway up North and take the Tapah exit and use Route 59. This is the oldest road to Cameron Highlands by car. However this road is rather old and very winding, plus it gets dark at night.
I would suggest to drive to Ipoh town and have a meal there (so much great food in Ipoh city), then use the scenic route 185 from Simpang Pulai up to Cameron Highlands.
