  • This was another early morning crabbing adventure. Be warned that this video is just over an hour long. I would try to put Mike on some crabs. He would catch more than he ever have done by himself.
We would arrive at the launch under starry skies. I would use some of my crabs as a catch and cook. We would have a great lunch of delicious Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs right at the launch. Not to be outdone, Mike caught a turtle on his trotline bait. We took pictures before releasing the cute Maryland turtle.

Well sir I am now hooked on trotlining from my Hobie here in Fl. I tried it yesterday for the first time but only got 6. I need to figure out where the higher concentration of crabs are but my maiden voyage was a success and I want to thank you for your help in setting up and operation.

That is great! I always wanted to see this method of kayak crabbing done in Florida. I could not find definite rules on the subject in regards to trotline crabbing. How long was your trot line? Was your bait every 5 feet? Did you use chicken necks for bait?

@@MachFishing there’s no regulation on trotlines just the limit of 10 Gal. My line is 600’ and I used chicken necks. The pinfish eat half the bait hahaha
