Well Neil, I think this must be THE haul video of all time!! You really brought home some great titles. Many of these I haven't seen. So glad you picked up No Orchids For Miss Blandish, which I don't hear many people talk about. Fascinating film, and I look forward to hearing your opinion. I recently saw The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll and I, Monster, which is based on the Jekyll story. The earlier film is incredible and I have mixed feelings about I, Monster, but it's still worth watching. I'm intrigued about seeing Oliver Reed and Hayley Mills in the same movie! Why does that unsettle me so much? I love all those box sets. Charlie Bubbles is Liza Minnelli's first film, and it's been a long time since I saw it. With Night Tide, Mad Dog Morgan, and The Last Movie, you can have your own Dennis Hopper Film Festival! I think the only Indicator title I own is Pastor Hall, but I need to start paying more attention to their output. Enjoy the films, Neil!
Hi Mike. Good to hear of the ones you have seen. I’m intrigued by No Orchids. Take a girl like you sounds to be dated and simplistic and perhaps not the happiest of shoots but I definitely want to see for myself. This lot will certainly keep me busy but I think it was worthwhile getting them this way. I’ve just caught up with a couple of other great indicator releases, The Collector with Terence Stamp and Samantha Eggar, and Deborah Kerr’s first film, Love on the Dole. Both are excellent, I may do a quick video on them . Thanks for watching. Have a good weekend
Wow! What a haul! I loved this as your interest in each of the movies shines through. Can’t wait to see your reviews of them. I’m intrigued by No Orchids for Miss Blandish.
Love so many of these Indicator titles, the sale is always a good time to stock up. You mentioned And Soon The Darkness 1970, I've got a Blu ray Studio Canal Vintage Classics release, such a great film.
Hi Neil, wow this is a haul and a half… I need to rewatch this with a note pad, it reminds me that there are a couple of Randolf Scott westerns I need to order, I have most of them as I have been in a western genre frame of mind lately. Good old Cheggers R.I.P I have all the Hammer sets except for number 1 😬 (I really need to track a copy down) love the Columbia Noir sets 🧐 thanks for showing all these titles Neil, a lot to process 🤔 take care mate 👍😃👍
Hi Alan. Yes, definitely not my usual kind of haul as I mostly collect these days from thrift stores. But I’m very drawn to Indicator. The Ranown westerns have really rocketed in popularity with both Indicator issuing and more recently Criterion doing their 4K box set. I’ll admit I was never a big fan of Scott in westerns but am looking forward to reappraising. Thanks for watching, I know this was a rush through of the titles as I didn’t want the video to be too long
Exceptional haul there! Lot's of my favourite films from Indicator like Devil in a Blue dress, Framed and 20th Century. I also grabbed The Big Gundown and Remember the Night in the recent sale, and both are such lovely releases. I'll have to look out for Run Man Run because Tomas Milian's character was great in Big Gundown I thought, so I'm sure I'll enjoy seeing some more from him!
Thanks, Goose. Good to hear you enjoy those ones. I know you have some great sets in your collection including some of those great Curzon ones. I’m so impressed with how Indicator have put these hard box editions together, they are amazing.
Fantastic pick ups Neil. 👏 I have so many indicator titles on my To Buy list and I’m quite lucky that they are available on Amazon uk to ship to Ireland and are usually only around 11 euros each which is not too bad. Once you start buying them they are very addictive! My latest Indicator watch was the Pumpkin Eater and I adored it. Anne Bancroft was just so fabulous. Enjoy your titles looking forward to more hauls in the future 😊
Hi Jodie. Haha, don’t encourage me to show more hauls, I think I need to put the brakes on for a while. That’s good that you can access them via Amazon and great to hear you enjoyed The Pumpkin Eater. Have a good weekend, thanks for watching
Amazing haul! I thought I bought a lot with 11 Indicator titles. Great start with Night Of The Demon. 2024 is going to be a busing year of film watching. Who'd have thought the late Keith 'Cheggers' Chegwin would be mentioned in a movie haul video 😂
Yes, an atypical haul for me as I don’t tend to buy new movies. It was worthwhile doing it this way….Haha, we can’t forget Cheggers. Have a good weekend
Wow, you got a lot of really nice movies! I noticed that you like Oliver Reed movies, have you ever seen one called, "The Triple Echo"? I have that one on VHS. Yes, I still do some VHS! Loved looking at your movie haul! Thank you Neil!
Thanks, Lita. Yes, I have seen The Triple Echo, but a long time ago. Indicator do issue that title but I didn’t pick it up. Nice that you can still enjoy VHS, I unfortunately got rid of all my VHS when I moved
Great haul Neil! I've always loved that cover of Night of the Demon. I love those Hammer films especially The Gorgon and of course Harryhausen! I've heard a lot of Indicator but have never bought one so I'll have to check it out. I tend not to buy online unless it's Amazon where I can buy a gift card to use online. SO many I haven't heard of . It's amazing how many films there are out there to still see!
Thanks, Rob. Yes, likewise it is rare for me to buy online, mostly my collection these days is from thrifting. But I do admire the Indicator label and the types of movies they have been releasing. I’m sure I will buy from them again, everything arrived really well packaged.
Nice haul. I have most but not all. Have been buying up the hammer and noir sets as they come out. You still have a way to go to even remotely compete with solitary ronin's collection on this label. enjoy all that watching.
Hey, Peter. Haha, I know Ronin is a completist and no way I’m going to try and get all of Indicator’s output. If I had still been living in the UK when they started, maybe it would be different as everything they put out looks great. Thanks for watching, sir. I enjoyed your video this morning on dtv top 10, I haven’t seen Rampage since those video store days, it would be good to see again
Hi Jay. Thanks for watching. Which ones did you get? I’m sorry, I know this was a lot to show, definitely not my normal spend on movies but in this case it was worthwhile for me to do
Hi Neil....No I enjoy watching people talk about the films they buy..I'm a big Film Noir fan, so I got some I didn't have in bluray: MURDER BY CONTRACT, THE LINEUP, FRAMED, UNDERWORLD USA, THE MOB....all really good an they look great in the transfers. THE LINEUP is a masterpiece, imho, directed by Don Siegel....I highly recommend it. Also PASTOR HALL, i had heard about it and it's a very strong film, you will be glad you have it. NIGHT OF THE DEMON, a great horror movie, I have the previous French bluray, so I didn't get the Arrow one
@@mackjay1777 Oh that’s great, thanks for sharing. Yes, I had The Lineup and Murder By Contract already. With The Lineup I think I had found it a little sluggish at first but then it really got going with excellent performance from Eli Wallach and gripping ending. I wasn't too struck with Corruption. Another rare Cushing film from the 1960s, but, the extras on the Indicator set make up for the disappointment of Corruption. Those Noir sets are some of the best any boutique have released. Indicator set the standard, and other boutique labels followed in their wake with packaging and extras. Sucked about Dracula 79 not being released due to unforeseen issues with the release, though it was never officially announced, only teased quite some time ago before COVID hit. Overall a nice haul of Indicator titles. I've heard that the Confession films are on the way next year. Time to start cleaning windows and offering driving lessons. 😊
