Available in Paperback or Kindle versions! Hello Crochet Friends!
BIG Thank you to Mummy Girlybunches who kindly transcribed this video in English.
I have made a video showing you all how I made my little Crochet Christmas Tree!
I used the Crocodile Stitch that I have shown you previously, but this is ever so slightly different!
I will do another video on how to do the Bauble, I thought this video was long enough. :D
Remember this and you should be fine:
For each petal you want, you will need two sets of posts, so (Petal x 2) = the number of posts you need..
For the number of chains you need to do, (Posts number x 3).
So to make 4 petals, 4x2 = 8, 8x3 = 24.
to make 5 petals, 5x2= 10, 10x3 =30
I really hope you enjoy making your tree! I would love to see it if you do, make a video and show me, or tag me on Instagram/Facebook/Twitter! Links below!
I have a few more Christmas vids to upload, and I will do those soon so you can get making in time for the big day!

I think that this is one of the nicer looking styrofoam tree designs. If you're like me and detest foam, you could probably just make cones out of cardboard cartons, which is what I plan to do. I think if it's covered in felt, the crocheted rounds should stay put well enough.
Great idea!! 🙌🙌… sorry for late reply!
@@Girlybunches No worries; I didn't really expect a reply on a ten year old video! I spent ten years working at a sewing/craft chain and always looked for the cheapest/most sustainable way to do crafts since I got asked for that by customers a lot. Styrofoam and other foam products are made from fossil fuels and get more expensive all the time while cardboard cartons are paper and pretty much free and I'm all about that! Pizza boxes rock!
Made a tall cone from poster board and completed 4 layers of the crocodile stitching with three different shades of green. absolutely loving it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND THANK YOU!!!
Great video, thank you for sharing your talent. It took three tries before I got the hang of how to turn and work the 2nd post. Working out the math on the petals was very helpful. The only thing I had trouble was with the first base row. I made way too many petals for the base, I made 12 only needed 7. However, working up so many gave me a chance to practice. Once I got it, it went very fast.😃
This is a really gorgeous design, and I love the pearl-head pins detail. Thank you for sharing! I'm going to try it out as soon as I get some time to myself
I have a condition called hyperacussis . I must say thank you for considering sounds. Many wonderful blessing on you.
I'm very sorry to hear that. I didn't know the name of the condition, but thank you for sharing with me. I learned something today. :) Hope to get this video transcribed soon so you can watch with the sound off. Thank you for watching :)
You know what? I followed your video and had no problems completing this tree. it's beautiful. thank you very much!
Ohhh I am so thrilled to hear that!! Well done, glad I made enough sense to follow, hehe. Would love to see your tree. Maybe post a picture on FB or Instagram if you use those or post a video :)
+Girlybunches so how can I send you a picture of what I have done with your pattern?

I love the look of this tree. Thank you for such a easy video to follow.
Love the tree.. That would be a great stitch for making a wreath too.
I will make it for my tree top this year! Awesome! Thanks.
This is awesome! I’m on my second tree. Great video and easy to follow. 🤗
Fantastic and so pretty. I can't wait to make one. Thank you for such precise instructions.

Thank you for this great tutorial! I added a 3 sided amigurumi star on top of my tree and works and looks awesome! Merry Christmas!
This is lovely!! I will definitely be making a few of these for my table centerpiece this Christmas. Your instructions are clear and your video was fun to watch. Thanks for posting!!
Love this stitch and LOVE the finished trees! I’m about to start making the yarnspirations ruffle for trees. Wish I’d seen these before I bought what I need for them. I love the felt idea to cover the cone!
Lovely!! So glad to have found your channel!!

My Dear this is BRILLIANT !!! Thank you SO Very MUCH !!!
I have recently come across this tutorial. Fantastically easy! Thank you kindly for posting this, I'm hooked - no pun intended.
He He! Love it. Pleased you like my little tree. Thanks for watching (have you got a forest of them yet) :)
Thank you I love your Christmas Tree Great tutorial 🇦🇺🌟
Instead of going out and purchasing alcohol ink pens, to color the heads of the florist pins, I think that I would rather use fingernail polish because I already own great colors. Something to try out. :p
I loved this project, and didn't take me long to do either. Thank you
Thank you Christine, pleased you liked the video and thanks for watching :)
So Lovely, Well Designed. My Favorite Crocheted Christmas Tree, Thus Far!🤩🌲Merry Christ-mas🌲
I love ❤️ your tree 🌲 xx not done the crocodile stich
Beautiful trees!♥️🎄🎄
Thank you soooo much!!! It feels like I've been banging my head against a wall for the past few hours when I was looking at other videos in order to figure this out. Your so clear and explained everything so well! *^*
I am so pleased you found it helpful, I've had some folks copy this video, but they don't give all the details. Thanks for your lovely comment :)
Your kidding, this is the worst crochet vid I have ever seen, I'm 7 mins in and she has not even started crocheting! she is still waffling, Ive never heard such waffle, I fast forwarded and watched segments and she is still waffling, I wanted to crochet a Christmas tree, Im not remotely interested in her neighbours and their building work, or any of the other repetitive rubbish. I'm sitting here with my polystyrene cone ready to get started, but I think 19 minutes of this and I might be in the mood to smash something!
Thank you so much for the pattern, your tree is awesome! I'm on my last one towards top which is two croc petals, how did you do the very top? thank you :-)
Love your tutorials! Thrilled to be a new subscriber! Thank you !
Thank you so much for subscribing! I am so pleased you like my videos :)
I'm a beginner. Do you recommend this? I want to make for my home.
I will! just trying to figure out a topper.

+Lina Sucar Thank you so much :)
I would like to start to crochet the Christmas crodile for Christmas so how would I start it?
I love this video and am attempting to make this tree. I don't see how to make the top of it. Do you show it or did I miss it. What do you do for the final or top tree----not the round topper. Thanks so much.
Hi Pat Mugler Thank you! :D You just keep going until you reach the top, my tree had only two leaves on the top, so it can get a bit fiddly, I made the round topper to finish it off. I hope it helps.
Muito linda!!!!!Fácil de fazer e de montar.....👏👏👏👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💖❤🇧🇷
could u do a video on how to make the star topper please.... thankyou ive made 2 and they look amazing ...just need to finish them off with the star topper
Hi Gayna, already made :) th-cam.com/video/21Nh3l39hiY/w-d-xo.html thanks for watching! :) Glad you liked the video! :)
Great video,tfs
What size of yarn and size of hook?
Do you write out how to calculate the number of crocodile stitches for the lowest with of one's cone size choice? I want to make a tall styro-foam tree. I have been stopping the video and snapping pics of your closed captions. Guess one has to assemble your words to send to one's email and printer.
This is so pretty. Did you buy a large styrofoam cone? I’ve never seen any large ones anywhere.
Thanks very much 😘😘
Is there a way to make it 5 foot tall with a stitch that looks like tree branches??? I have a allergy to the real tree, so I have always had a fake tree and I would love to have one could keep up all year and decorate for each month... LOL 😂 I think it would be cute..
I like the pattern but can I make this on a bigger cone I would like a larger tree do I just keep making the pieces?
Hi Debbie, follow the instructions at the start with the number of stitches, and just keep making as many rounds as you need to complete your cone size.
@girly bunches I learned how to crochet the hexagon granny from watching ur videos and my very first doily as well but I am struggling with this crocodile stitch do you have any tips on how I can master this stitch? This tree is one of the most gorgeous Xmas projects on TH-cam and I would love to make it as gifts and decoration for myself but that stitch is so stinking tricky....lol! Help please.....🙀
Thank you so much - have you watched my videos dedicated to the crocodile stitch? th-cam.com/play/PLKFmQXzB77WZXQfTSUUPdmsjuwIIW1LZj.html Hope it helps :) Thanks for watching.

What were the colours you used please? 😊
Hi Julie, sorry I don't know. I made this video a long time ago, just used different shades of green. Thanks for watching.
How could you make this into a hat
Hi, nice video and beautiful Christmas tree. How tall is the biggest tree (the cone)? Thanks.
Thank you Katiuscia R. I think its about 21cm tall... It's in storage at the moment, but I remember being rather tall! All those rounds :) This deign would work for any height though. Thanks for watching :)
Love the tree! Do you have a printable pattern for this?
Hi +Caroline Bomford , thank you so much... sadly no, mainly because of the reasons I give at the begning about not knowing what yarn you will be using and what size cone you will be able to get hold of. If you follow the principles I've given you'd be able to make the same I am sure. If I can do it.. anyone can. If you need help with the crocodile stitch, you can check my playlist out here on how to do the crocodile stitch - Thanks for watching and Happy Holidays - th-cam.com/video/HcSWssHJb14/w-d-xo.html

Actual pattern at 6 minutes.
Great pattern! Your video is very clear. A beginner could make this no problem!
So pleased you like it, thanks for watching :)
Ohhh man im bad,😂 i wanted 6 petals, so i did the math, but instead of leaving 2 unworked posts i left one.😵 and got 8 petals instead.*face palm*
Oh no.. I've done the same thing so many times!!! At least crochet is easy to rip back and start again! :)
what kind of thread you are using
what size is your needel
i made the stitch i used worsted weight yarn 4 mm needel
it is not loose
maybe i should use biger size
+Lina Sucar Yes you could try a 4.5mm hook, have you seen my video about crochet tension? It might help ? th-cam.com/video/aXcgHDz50UU/w-d-xo.html

I'm getting there.. just me on my own I'm afraid,, I try to do them in my spare time. Thanks for watching
non si capisce, cosa fare per avere la spiegazione in italiano
Perché non metti spiegazioni in italiano grazie
Why do you call a double crochet a treble?
Europeans use the word Treble for the American word Double when talking about crochet stitches.
Hablas mucho mas accion y menos palabras
Disappointed
You talk to much
LOL,... ok.
Too wordy😅
