He is one of the best male singers of all time. His vocal range and stage presence is just amazing. He never stops surprising you. It doesent matter what he sings. He should have been more notised world wide. Please react to him singing when the war is over its from a show called the last time and Its from 2003. That song really puts his vocals to limit. He is still an amazing singer at the age of 72.
John was asked to go to USA by many top singers like Celine Dion and Tom Jones but didn't want to leave Australia and his family. The clear range of his voice is totally unique. He's also very very funny with a typical Aussie sense of humour and also known for his kindness and humility. We LOVE him in Oz. Good horse rider too!! He met wife when they were teenagers and still deeply in love in their 70s.
John sings all genres. His concert performances are phenomenal and always feature the amazing musicians who support him, with different solo instrumentals. He is a power singer with a wonderful tone and superior vocal range. He does this all live for hours at a time and then goes on the next night to do it all over again. Just wow!
So happy you enjoyed watching John, he's an Aussie legend !!! He started when he was 17 years old with a song called Sadie, he gets teased with this song till this day, he loves it !! He's in his early 70s now and still puts on a hell of a performance on stage. He's Amazing !!! There are so many more of his work to watch and listen to. Check out, Age of Reason, Help, The Voice, Angels, so many more. Glad you enjoyed watching our John. 🐨🇦🇺🐨🇦🇺🤗🤗🤗🤗
You're the Voice - this is a must. If it's not the unofficial Australian National Anthem then it should be. Me being Scottish it even has bagpipes its a win win. John's voice is incredible.
Hey guys, keep discovering Australian bands and singers and your likes will go insane. Best in the world. INXS, Paul Kelly, Cold Chisel, Weddings Parties Anything, Hoodoo Gurus... A list you would never get through. Great job.
Farnsy is in his 70s now and his career goes back to the 1960s. He still sounds amazing. He has performed with Tom Jones, Celine Dion, Ray Charles and Queen (post Freddie) and still nails it. Another suggestion (in addition to all those below) is his duet with Jimmy Barnes called "When something is wrong with my baby" ... a must watch 😍 th-cam.com/video/AU_bCchDWF4/w-d-xo.html
THE VOICE. The Legend that is Farnsie. Glad to see you've discovered our John. And a thoroughly decent guy too. Not a shred of star ego. Suggest you have a look at "Burn For You". A song he wrote for his wife while he was away touring a lot - telling her how much he missed her. { Get the Tissues out! } 👍😊
The thing about this performance for me is that the band and backing singers are doing this song as a single unit. There is absolutely zero wavering from any of them, and they did it show after show after show. All of them are hugely accomplished musicians. The Keyboardist has an Oscar for a musical score (which came after this) and played with little River Band with John during the 80's, as did the bass player. The lead guitarist (and fourth backing singer) on this tour is a star in his own right down under with a number of hits with his own band, and is referred to as 'Baby Voice' since he sounds so much like John. The African-American backing singer, Venetta Fields has a serious pedigree too, joined the Ikettes and later sang with Streisand, Pink Floyd, and the Stones. After migrating to Australia in the early 80's she sang with John and the rest of Aussie musical royalty. If John decided to do another go around with a tour, I'd think almost all of them would drop whatever they were doing with the exception of Venetta who is now over 80 years of age and retired, but she might pop out for one night for a sing. That's how powerfully connected this group is. And you can see how it works in this song especially.
"Help" with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. "Please don't ask me" with Olivia Newton John, or "Burn for you" are some great songs to show you how great John Farnham is
Never a bad performance by Farnsey. He referenced Ross Wilson another legend of the Australian music industry as the writer of this song. Maybe Putin should be listening to this rather than making the world anything but a paradise.

Welcome to the rabbit hole of Australian music. You'll be hard pressed to find a bad John Farnham track. To see something completely different of his, may I suggest a soul track he did with another all-time great Australian artist of Jimmy Barnes called 'When something is wrong with my baby'. Following that, you'll be very much on Jimmy's train as well, so you'll need to hear 'Stone cold' that he did with Joe Bonamassa. These men have more soul than anyone has a right to. Strap yourselves in as these tracks will take you to a new stratosphere!!
When you listen to Help with the Melbourne symphony orchestra you’ll get the full picture of his amazing vocal range. Loving the reactions, keep them coming ☺️ by the way, love how you keep giving Angie the ‘see I told you his voice is amazing’ look 😁

Only Australian entertainer to have a top ten hit in EVERY ONE of the last 5 DECADES.
John squeezes every bit of emotion out of his songs , please keep them coming . Just subbed.
Ross Wilson over the years has written some of the best songs, look up Eagle Rock, by Daddy Cool. Ross was the lead singer and song writer
Ross Wilson is another Australian Legend who is famous for Eagle Rock which inspired Elton John to write Crocodile Rock
