I have a Freelancer DUR. The only thing they need to fix, IMO, is that both inner and outer airlock doors shouldn't both be able to be open at the same time if the inside and outside pressure differential is too big, or would result in depressurizing the living area.
Been a while mate! I've had this ship since it was released. (Big surprise I know) The biggest vehicle you can fit in the back is the Cyclone. Someone on reddit managed to cram 4 in there. I have no idea how he did it, they were all parked sideways! That stupid turret blocks everything else. The Ursa and the Merlin won't go. People have been saying they want CIG to make that rear turret remote. I think that would be a good idea. When the ship is full of cargo, you can barely get to it. You have 4 seats, why not make the rear ones control the turret?
While I agree with you, I believe it is purely for balance. I know your question will be "how" but I think it's for balance on the cost more than game play. This is just my take obviously but I would guess that is the reason.

I think the best thing about the Freelancers is, that they were never supposed to be "the best thing", same as the Cutlass, Constellation etc. . Most of the new ships are sold as the ultimate tool for a certain job just to either suck in literally every other way or fail to archive what they were sold as. I'd prefer the Constellation Taurus over the Freelancer Max, but that's just personal taste. Another Ship worth mentioning however, is the Hull B... at just 90$, it might turn out to be quite a bargain.
Still, like the old Freelancer cockpit more than the new one. We need an Arrow, Delta and Beta review. I am considering switching my Delta for an Arrow. Considering they made the choice of not giving the Delta any cargo space anymore.
The rear turret is a really bad design choice. At least it should be remote controlled. It's not any good if you can't use it, because your cargo hold is full.
Only a single set of flight controls huh. There's a lot of attention to detail, but as someone with some flight training, the idea of only a single set of controls is kinda weird to me in a multi-person cockpit. XD I will give them bonus points for putting it on the left though. For civilian aircraft, left seat is the default pilot position if there's only a single pilot. (This seems random but it's a visibility thing when flying landing approach circuits. - unless airport conditions dictate otherwise, all circuits are left-hand circuits, meaning every turn is done to the left. Hence sitting on the left side improves visibility.)
@@AbuN4z1r Access to the turret is right in the middle of the cargo area. If your cargo is full, there is no getting into the turret. Meanwhile, the turret is a measly two size one guns, an absolutely absurdly miniscule amount of firepower. It is virtually useless for anything other than shooting down missiles. I am not going to pay a crew salary solely for the purpose of firing a pair of squirt guns. A computer blade on the other hand will make it what it should have been all along, a dedicated point defense gun.
I love this ship. Cargo runs for money suck in 4.0.1 but this thing handles like a dream and is the perfect balance for decent amount of cargo vs time. Starfarer takes a hundred years just like the cat and the connie doesn't move as much. Great ship and love your vids.
I'd get one of these in a heartbeat... if it didn't have the rear turret armature blocking off the ceiling making getting things into the ship just a teensy bit, as in very, problematic if not impossible.
It looks like it is old and used and third hand and needs a new painting and if you look it might need repairs. That's what it looks like but I like it and that is how I buy my vehicle so I can repair it on my own and get it's cheaper that way. Even if I have the money to buy a new one or two and it is more fun in real life when I buy cars and trucks or other toys like boats as well which I'm going to rebuild a boat this summer or three boats this summer and one truck. And I will also put up a shed and a woodshed and maybe a two greenhouses and possibly one more thing. And yet I work at two full time jobs as well. I know I put too much down but that's life and I have a 1968 car two put together as well but my 1980 car will have to wait another year before I fix. But good show thanks.
They should have made the turret remote and controlled by one of the back seat consoles in the bridge. It's perfectly setup for it.
i think they intend to !

I picked myself one during the sale... pair it with my Mercury and voila
whats the cost of this ship?
Still, like the old Freelancer cockpit more than the new one. We need an Arrow, Delta and Beta review. I am considering switching my Delta for an Arrow. Considering they made the choice of not giving the Delta any cargo space anymore.
The rear turret is a really bad design choice. At least it should be remote controlled. It's not any good if you can't use it, because your cargo hold is full.
Wait, the cargo isn't meant to go under the turret... I may try to load it to full capacity and see what happens under the turret...
Only a single set of flight controls huh.
There's a lot of attention to detail, but as someone with some flight training, the idea of only a single set of controls is kinda weird to me in a multi-person cockpit. XD
I will give them bonus points for putting it on the left though.
Well, you convinced me to upgrade from my standard Freelancer.
I am sure you will like the ship.
First mod to make on a freelancer is to automate the rear turret, turn it into a dedicated point defense weapon.
Or hire NPC to do it?
@@AbuN4z1r Access to the turret is right in the middle of the cargo area. If your cargo is full, there is no getting into the turret. Meanwhile, the turret is a measly two size one guns, an absolutely absurdly miniscule amount of firepower. It is virtually useless for anything other than shooting down missiles. I am not going to pay a crew salary solely for the purpose of firing a pair of squirt guns. A computer blade on the other hand will make it what it should have been all along, a dedicated point defense gun.
My man i want to see a review of the Arrow. I find the voice of other reviewers annoying.
Many more ships up and coming. Glad you like the videos (-:
We can't all have Tac's dulcet tones. XD
Nothing personal aay i was talking in general, there's thousands of SC ship reviewers. I use his videos more for ASME purposes
I love this ship. Cargo runs for money suck in 4.0.1 but this thing handles like a dream and is the perfect balance for decent amount of cargo vs time. Starfarer takes a hundred years just like the cat and the connie doesn't move as much. Great ship and love your vids.
They should have named it the Freelancer Thick!
I'd get one of these in a heartbeat... if it didn't have the rear turret armature blocking off the ceiling making getting things into the ship just a teensy bit, as in very, problematic if not impossible.
Ugh! I really liked the previous all metal skin better. The shape is also more angular and less slick.
(I've had one since day 1)
This the " S.U.V. " of the Star Citizen starships!
yea i melted my constellation to get it, it is so cool. The constellation is a nice ship too but i got bored of it with the time.
My Max finally finished. Sad that we now have to wait another 2 years at least for the finished game.
