    I recently bought one , made a carry for it , very handy ! It may supplant my need to EDC a stubby , I found the stock carry to not meet my needs , so I built a Shuck for mine . I got a 3/8” to 1/4” drive adaptor and am now carrying my 1/4 drive sockets , and the bit extension on a lanyard , in my front pocket . The 3 3/8” sockets ( which top out at 1/2 ) to be a bad alternative to my 1/4 drive Wera sockets ( 3/16- 1/2” ) . The sockets are on a rail , with a cover , along with the extension . ( which already tried to escape from the stock nylon carry ) . The socket rail , and housing + the extension are attached to the holster with a piece of Paracord . The sockets and extension drop into the front pants pocket .

  • @chrisfyfe9212
    @chrisfyfe9212 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just moved , this setup , came in very handy ! Dismanteled, and reassembled pretty much everything . I prefer to run the Wera 1/4” drive sockets , less bulky , and lighter . I really don’t trust the belt carry overmuch ! Made my own , that will carry either or both Metric and Imperial !

    Perfect tool for electrician all it needs is a panel key

    • @charmio
      @charmio ปีที่แล้ว

      Almost. The ratchet head probably too wide for getting to the screw terminals on breakers. Also not insulated for those working on live circuits.
      Maybe you could fit a extension bit across 2 rows of the storage compartment?

    Normally the "multiple things all in one" gimmick is ..just that, a gimmick, but this tool is actually very cool, ive used it multiple times already. You also don't have to just use the sockets come with it, you can use any socket that will fit and that is magnetic. Tho I'm pretty sure wera sockets will fit the best....cause, right.

    I recently broke my 3/8" Zyklops ratchet mechanism (breaking sensors loose on a Ginetta) after only 6 months of ownership. I'm wondering if im abusing these ratchets unintentionally by over torquing them when breaking stuff loose, I wonder if others have broke the heads on theirs. Maybe they are meant more for precision assembly, and not for hectic racetrack work, lol.
    Edit: I forgot to mention, I also have the 1/4" Zyklop, and I think I've knicked or overstressed the loosening-side paws on it as well. If you turn the head clockwise with your finger the racheting click fades at certain points. I still appreciate the quality of these tools though, the quality is there.

    I have no clue the power of this unit it may not be worth 130 but to everyone complaining about the price because they want a $30 version, just think of how poorly that $30 version would work. I would totally pay 130 for something like this if it had the power, longevity, durability of a 130 dollar tool. A 30 dollar tool in this category would be junk and anyone who truly uses tools should know this! It wouldnt be worth the spot to sit stagnant in the botton of a tool box.
    A locking head would be nice for higher load situations, dont believe this has that
