Over 100 dollars. I could have been one of the few people to purchase but it was too expensive. I already splurged on the LTT screwdriver this year so this one might have to be be on the list for next year.
The ltt screwdriver just seems cheap to me and I don't really care for ratcheting screwdrivers I currently carry the kraftform kompakt but this looked slightly smaller than that but I'm not sure I can justify like $109 is what I have seen it for I paid like $40 for the kraftform and that seemed high since was going from a like $5 screwdriver
@FookeyBookey I mean it's probably an alright screwdriver but for the price nit worth it to me like I said I don't really use ratcheting screwdrivers I use a regular or an impact or something but $40 is my limit which is what I paid for my kraftform kompakt and at least Harbor freight said alright we will gold plate a ratchet but ya theirs is plastic and overpriced in my opinion
@@james10739 Tried out a bunch of ratcheting screwdrivers including the Kraftform Compact. After 6 months LTT is by far the best everyday screwdriver. The plastic they use is high quality and every part of their design screams quality. Gotta say there is enough information out there to dispute that it's a plastic pos, definitely not. It is a very high quality tool. I will give you that the price is high and you can get a tool that does what the LTT does for cheaper, it's just not going to be as high quality.
So you could, in theory, swap the head with the 1/4” head? Locking nut driver and put on the rapidaptor 1/4” adapter. No magnetic retention. Push button removal but not with the locking swivel switch. Solves your 1/4”-1/4” hex to square adapter. And from what you said the rapidaptor wrench adapter works well enough with the 13mm anvils.
Great walkthrough of a nice tool with lots of features. However for that price it should be made of carbon fiber and titanium and come with a designer carrying case.
Bonjour, et merci pour cette vidéo ! Quelles différences y a t'il entre la version Impérial et métrique ? Merci d'avance. Hello, and thank you for this video! What are the differences between the Imperial and metric versions? Thank you in advance. 🤔
Just one question about 1/4 adapter, did you try to insert it with the ball retention faced to the inner part of the bit holder? In my case it worked 😅👍
Thank you. Yes, I was only able to get the 1/4 socket adapter to fit if the ball detent was down (facing inner part). Certain styles of adapter just do not fit however.
Super bit of kit I do a lot of work on vsds and motors, changing between sockets and screwdrivers is a pita. All i would need is to machine adapter between my wera screw bits and 3/8... Do not really care for price, have a lot of trust for wera they last ages.
Can't see why you wouldn't just keep the 1/4" square adapter in the 13th position - the tip itself. But another option would be the Facom ECR.1 stubby hex/square adapter. That tip is a clever design, but they've borrowed it from the current Bosch Pro 18V impact driver. Unbelievably expensive.
I actually also thought of this for bicycle use as well. I do own multitools specifically for bicycle use, but they are just too small and finicky. As I own a 12 speed bike and they no longer offer chain pins for those chains, there's really no use for a chainbreaker/rivet'er. That's why a tool like that zyklop does most of what you need and it will feel way better in use because it's way more ergonomic than most multitools.
Yes its to clunky, i prefer the regular zyklop with the 1/4” bit holder. I can then use my tool check plus bits so no need to spend the extra money. But cool tool for someone barely gett into the wera family
Have had quarter inch one was broke up than I cut and opened the ratchet mechanism guess what i saw the mechanism was made a kind of plastic/bakalit thing :)
Backdrag on the ratchet. Do you mean the amount of drag when turning the opposite way to the intended way? Is backdrag really an issue? The amount of energy the hand uses when going backwards before pushing hard forwards again is so minimal…
These tools aren't all their cracked up to be I have this one & the carage broke & half the bits fell out . I have another one that keeps the bits in the handle & they keep falling out. Nobody talks about that
Some Wera products are better than others, and they do require a lighter touch versus more rugged tools that tend to be cheaper. But many of Wera’s designs and ergonomics are just better for daily use, even if they require more care.
You're the first person on YT I've seen to actually show the Zyklop Pocket in use! Thank you!
Thank you!
After 30 yrs of collecting automotive tools, Wera has been one of the few bright spots😎
Great overview. You covered a wide range of things that show what's possible and what isn't with this tool. 👌

I really like it but only having magnets for bit retention is a deal breaker. If they make one with detents than I would buy one in a heartbeat.
Amazing review my friend! Congratulations for the popularity, more than 50k views! Your reviews are great, you deserve that! 10K is coming! 👏👏👏
I have never seen a Schrader valve tool in a 1/4 inch bit I like that I'm going to look and see if I can get one without cutting one in half
Snap on makes one!
Wiha has them

The Wiha Centrofix Slim extension adapter has a pull instead of push function.. they work well together so on
Other than the 90degree feature, how would the Hazet compare to this Wera?
on the quarter inch adapter you could grind the rounded transition area between the hex and square to make if fit better.
If you grind the sides down a small amount on that bit, it will probably fit just fine.
Excellent analysis. Did I spot a bit for a valve stem?
Yes, but it may be discontinued. It was available on Amazon here amzn.to/3LXLoOq
@@bzeug Thanks.

for home DIY user, will this wera 8009 Zyklop act as a replacement for kraftform & stubby screwdriver?
For the price I wish they gave the diamond coated bits, also not impressed with the magnet strength, lost a bit in a wall a couple days ago
Very cool piece of kit, will be a go to for a lot of different trades/techs I think! 👍👍
Not when they see the price

Try the Mac tools 1/4" adapter, it's 24 to 25mm long
If u remove the ball detent?
Great update always good content thanks I think I am going buy that
I don't see the benefit in real life situation, and don't like the magnet solution and to much plastic for the price! Greetings from Germany

More backdrag is increased chance for the fastener to turn backwards as you try and ratchet
@@mcspikesky Ahhh yep, of course. Makes sense!
Amazing, thank you for your excellent job
Excellent review. Thanks!
Really wish it was a regular ball bearing retention or a locking collect. That magnet is too weak to use in the field.
A jis driver will drive a Phillips screw perfectly, so personally I'd swap the Phillips for jis
Great insightful overview!
The carasel in mine was broken in mine when I got mine
Where can I send them to be fixed or replaced
As always, Thank You!

They should make one without the bit storage so it can be thinner (but keep the ultra stubby head)
Will the plastic teeth on the ratchet be problematic?
Plastic teeth? No way they put plastic teeth in that ratchet. Where did you hear that?
Thank you
Nice tools
A total Butt Kicker ! Pocket power , to the 10th power !

fit for the bin, the magnets are so weak that this tool is only good as a screwdriver

Far to expensive for what it is, can’t justify it.
اسوء مفكات ندمت اشد الندم على اقتنائها . سيئة جدا لانها ببساطة ليست عملية ابدا
кусок пластика, мне такого хватит на день, развалиться
Lame rachet
Seems useless but I guess the kind of people who buy e-bikes need tools too.
