I agree for a long time, I used to make fun of Pakistani singers who started singing in western style. It was horrible. The music just did not make sense. However, there were few gems but they were very few. When Coke Studio came out, It did not appeal to me and I didn't take any interest in it at all until a couple years ago when I saw its buzz on youtube, I gave it a second chance and since then I am sooooo hooked on it. Truly speaking they have done a huge service to music; their remixing of classical songs and the fusion of east/west, the excellent melodious tunes just made me fall in love with Coke Studio.
