Great video, Thanks for uploading. I do have one question, at 2.16 you show a photo showing a scramble from Hornchurch, but in the foreground is shown DW-K which belonged to 610 'County of Chester' which used Hawkinge as it forward operating airfield.
@@Vosper385 So apparently Squadrons would join others for an air battle and then need to refuel in order to return to home base. Or if they took damage and couldn't make it back to home base. The other answer I found is transport pilots. Often transport pilots would be women sent to deliver new aircraft to bases and they would be sent out without ammunition as well.

That's interesting. I'll try and find out why it would have been there. Could be a number of reasons. Thanks for pointing it out.
