    I had a huge pork shoulder that I had to debone and get used before going on a trip. So I did this! I tried a jar just the other day and it was so good! Thickened the broth to a gravy and served it over rice. I also added a Japanese BBQ sauce to my rice. It was ridiculous. So so so good! Thanks Jeni!

    Just ate this, canned it last fall. SO, so good! Will definitely make this again! Made it with noodles but next time I’m definitely making it with mashed potatoes, the sauce is too good to miss a drop! Thanks for a delicious recipe.

    We use to always eat pork with apple butter! Now 50 years later iam definitely going to do this! Yummy! Also the juices left from roasting the chunks of pork canceled for making beans. I place it in the fridge and the fat hardens so I scrape it off and you're left with a wonderful broth! Thank you for showing this!

    Jeni, Thank you for letting people know when you are rebel canning. I’m kinda new to canning, about 3 yrs. It was very important to me to learn canning using safe guidelines. And I think it’s important for new canners to know safety first. My opinion. Once we know all the safety guidelines then we can choose if a rebel canning recipe is something we want to try. But when I was learning most did not let people know it was a rebel recipe. I really appreciate your honesty. Thank you for being a responsible and caring teacher.💗😁

    I'm canning now and when your timer went off I put your video on hold and went to the stove. Oh boy. I just canned apple butter last week-end and the apples are still on sale. I'll have to make more. I have a pork roast and need to process it. It's a pork lion but I'm going to use it anyways. This sounds so good to serve with fried apples. Oh boy pork pies. Thanks you Mrs. Jeni Gough, you have a good channel.

    New subscriber here. I love canning meats, dried beans,meals,etc. My daughter's most common question to me(she lives next door) is "Do you have anything in the canner?" If she wants me to go anywhere lol
    I'm enjoying your videos & the things you're canning. This sounds delicious. I'm gonna have to try it. I normally do raw pack meats mostly. But I love trying new things too.

    Hi 🙋 Boy howdee I am so glad Linda suggested your channel! This recipe looks sooo good. But I need to look up the apple butter recipe so I can try this. My mom used to make apple butter when I was young and I've seldom seen one that was as dark and rich as hers. Yours looks a lot like hers so I can't wait to see if it tastes the same, too!

    • @Jeni_Gough
      @Jeni_Gough  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Siphoning happens with thin liquid more. Bring up the temp slowly , let them set in the canner after you revive the weight for 15 minutes, slide top off halfway and let set another 15 minutes before removing the jars. It will help some, but not all. Siphoning happens. 😊
