As a resident of the mountains of NC, I want to thank you for this video! What a wonderful idea to pack more boxes to make up for the boxes that can't be packed this year. I personally did not experience a loss from the hurricane, except that I lost precious time to pack my boxes. I am now very far behind schedule. This video warms my heart and has motivated me to pack faster! Thank you to all of you who have agreed to pack 2 more! ❤
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching and I want you to know I am thinking of you and your community. I have seen such devastating videos. I hope the word gets out to pack more boxes for those who can’t! 💕
Love this idea!! Yes, I feel so sorry for the people who lost shoeboxes but mainly their homes. So they have a lot to worry about for now. We all should pack for to compensate for their losses. I love your connection to Stephanie, how your kids know each other and went to the trip. Small world! Great shoeboes, and inside lid cover. I especially like the stars one. Great variety of stickers. Nice very full pencil pouch! My favorite is the paracord kit. The lantern goes perfectly with the logo. Beautiful stuffy. Of course, the harmonica is another favorite. The calculator is a definitely a wow item! The second shoebox is equally as awesome. The shirt is super fun. Very inspiring shoeboxes, Denise! More shoeboxes are needed during this difficult time.
Thanks Sharon! Yes, I could not believe how many homes were destroyed and just washed away. So very sad. I’ve already heard of lost shoeboxes, time and funds to finish packing so more boxes will definitely help! I loved putting these two boy boxes together with no planning…sometimes the best! Thanks for watching friend!
A wonderful tribute to send two more shoeboxes for Florida and North Carolina. And how great that these are for older boys. Awesome the work your daughter has done 🤍 Great jog packing everything up! I love those math kits. And I love adding emergency thermal blankets as well as lanterns. These young men will he so blessed by these shoeboxes you packed. So many wonderful essiantials along with great wow items. The stuffy is adorable. Thanks so much for sharing, Denise. God bless you and your work.🤍
Thanks so much Diana! My daughter was changed after that trip. Truly an amazing experience. I love sending math kits too and these were such a great deal! I have a few more to pack next year! I always love to send a couple of lanterns each year. I feel like they can be so valuable. I decided to add even more batteries after I packed these up. I pray each box is a blessing! Thanks for watching! I’m praying for Holly! 🥰🙏🏻

You go girl! Pack away! I think they are going to need all the help they can get this year! Yes, my daughter was changed after that trip she took. What an eye opening experience! She actually experienced the divide there playing soccer with kids from both countries. (Haiti and DR) One of the families took them in for a traditional dinner in their small hut. She didn’t want to leave. TFW friend! 🥰
God bless y’all for doing this! My son-in-law was in Florida and praise God he is safe, the storm passed north of where he was by God’s grace. Please let’s continue to pray for everyone involved. John 14:27, I will pack 2 more boxes.❤️🙏🏼
I’m so glad to hear your son-in-law was safe!!! My cousin lives in Sarasota and did not evacuate. I was a nervous wreck for her! AND she use to live on Siesta Key that was totally devastated. Thank God she moved recently! We MUST continue to pray because there are so many displaced and suffering. Thank you for packing 2 more! 🙏🏻🥰
Great boxes! What a great idea as well! I’m hoping to have enough things left over to pack more than the 33 boxes for 10-14 yr old girls and boys we planned for! I know we have a lot of things donated that is probably more than we need! So definitely going to try and pack some extra boxes! ❤👏❤️👏❤️👏

I also watched Edward Graham’s video and I know Samaritans Purse is on the ground doing hard work in their own community. Thank you for packing two more boxes! They will be such a needed blessing. 🥰

I am very fortunate and can afford to pack and pay for shipping. That being said, I do shop year round and purchase quality items at lower prices in bulk when I can. I know it can be hard for some so packing within your budget is great. Every box counts and is a blessing! So if you can only do one or twenty…each one is a blessing. You may also consider getting your friends & family involved by reaching out for donations. Thanks for asking and sharing Linda. It’s an important question. Maybe I’ll do a video on this topic! ❤
@@drogers I do shop year round to pack occ boxes and I only buy things I think are quality items that will last. I do it for my church because many are elderly and can’t get out to shop and fill boxes. My church has been generous enough to pay for the boxes to be shipped. I just wondered how others do it because it is expensive at $10.00 a box. I made 10 boxes this year, (2) 10-14 girls, (2) 10-14 boys, (2) 2-4 girls, (2) 2-4 boys and (1) each girl and boy 5-9.
I’ll add on here, I no longer follow my boxes. 13-14 years ago I packed 30-40 boxes and shipping was 5 dollars then. Anything I made from our twice a year community garage sale went towards shipping. As the years went on, my box count went significantly higher and so did the shipping costs. This year, I’ll close out with 200 boxes packed only by my husband and I. Family and friends donate items but certainly not even close to what I would need to pack 200 boxes. Honestly, as long as my boxes arrive safely and bless the child it was chosen for, who cares where they go? I’d rather make more boxes than pay the shipping. Just my humble opinion.
