I wish apple would prevent others getting turning off your iPhone by using Face ID or passcode

I was also thinking the same i had samsung 8+ before and it was like that u can never turn it off without using password and i think it’s very dumb from apple how much money they invested on that future of finding the phone when its off but they didn’t think about using a code to turn it off 😅
Nahhh they could just press the power button for 10 sec and force shutdown it, its hardcoded to the hardware in case of software error or anything...

What if the location doesn’t update after a few day if the phone is still stolen or trown away in the waste company does it still work or not ?
It a great feature but when the thieves move from that current location it won't be able to track to know the exact location. For instance if the thieves stole yr iPhone from your home and immediately turned it off, afterwards the thieves moved away from the current "yr home" location to another location will the tracker still be available to track the changed location to the exact current location.
I lost a an iphone yesterday at a library in Milwaukee. At first it kept saying pending, then around 3:30pm, I got a notification that it was at Center Street library. But when I got there, no phone in sight. Police actually took me there. Now it's just showing that last location. I have called the phone company, I have called the phone recycling company that has a box to sell phones, and a police report was places. I really need help to find this phone. My phone is contract, and it hasn't been paid off, plus my deceased family member pictures were in there. I really could use the help.

Hi, in that mode the phone does NOT completely power off, it goes into a low power mode. In this mode when you go to power on you only have to quickly press the side button without holding the button down for 3 seconds. If you turn off Find My network, power down the phone then to power up you have to press and hold the side button for 3 seconds. If you think about it it’s impossible to send out a blue tooth signal without any power.
You’re wrong and right. the iphone turn off BUT the U1 chip and the BLE still remains powered by the battery even at 0% cuz its BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) it works just like an AirTag and the phone its not on very low power mode or using tricks like its turned off. It’s turned off.

Its absolutely the same thing air tag also works with bleuthoot when a device passes by the airtag it sends the location to you it’s not likena gps or what you see on movies

Usually people come to this video after losing their iphone so at this point it is impossible to activate the options to find my iphone that you show in the video so this video is useless at least for me, since obviously I got here to try to find my stolen iphone

Please i just recently lost my iphone, and i activated the lost mode using "Find my iphone" with my phone number for update if the missing iphone is found.
After 24hrs i got an Apple notification saying that "Your lost iphone13 is currently online with the number 1234****90."
Please my question here is there any possible chance for me to get the full phone number that is been blinded (1234****90) so that i will report the number to the near police station to verify whose number is?

i think if off showing the last location. so what if they switch off then they go to another other place, still can find? or much better before they switch off there is also a password so they cannot switch off i just suggest.
In my case, even if I have enabled "Find My Network" and "Send last location", when it is turned off it still doesn't give the current location....

I was in the middle of my favorite TV show, when I went to check my phone and it wasn't there. I immediately thought that someone had stolen it so I started looking for it around our apartment. After about an hour of searching, I called 911 and gave them the exact location of where I thought it might be. They said they would send a patrol car over immediately but unfortunately they never showed up. I then called *JayGloTech* and within seconds they were able to pinpoint exactly where my phone was located. They told me that there was no way they could track my phone without their equipment because they had to use their drone to locate it which meant that whoever stole my phone knew how to use technology as well! I am glad *JayGloTech* was able to help me find my stolen #phone because without them I wouldn't have been able to find it at all!
