It depends on why the light is on to begin with. If you're not sure why the light is on, its best get it diagnosed with a scan tool. If the module is bad due to an accident, you can send it in for reset. I just used two tiny flat screwdrivers to remove the connectors, it took like a minute. Once I had the nuts and scew out.

Hmm my shops telling me I need a whole new seat, and control module....something about the passanger seat has a mat in it connected to the module and it wont pass inspection and they want 3 grand to fix it...
How easy is it to just replace the mat? Does the mat need to be programmed?

There is a passenger weight sensor that does go bad in the passenger seat. However if vehicle was in an accident then the ORC/OCM Airbag Control Module can be reset.
@@MyAirbags have not had any accidents. Just dont wanna drop the bookoo bucks the shops telling me I need to replace the whole thing....or end up with mix matched seats...

Hello. I have a 2015 Nissan Rouge Select with a flashing air bag light on. Tried the reset with the key cycle method but didn’t seem to work. Could it be possible to reset with a proper scan tool or is there other issues?
If the vehicle was not in an accident, then it it would be best to use a diagnostic scan tool to pull codes. However, if the vehicle was in an accident, then the airbag module will need to be reset
I just received my module and seatbelt. Do I need to do any other type of reset to the module so the airbag light doesn't come on?
Hi Lex, once everything that deployed has been replaced and connected properly, once you install the reset module, the light will turn off. If it doesn't that means there is still a part that hasn't been replaced or connected properly. If you aren't sure what the problem is, the first step is to diagnose the airbag light. Hook up the scan tool / scanner to the car and read the airbag codes. You connect the scan tool right into the OBD port/plug. Its usually located below the steering wheel, on the left. Yes, this area (driver airbag) can be complicated. There 3 parts in this area. Any one of them can be causing code B1057. We recommend to check each part.

What about the passenger occupant sensor code B00A0 ? Bought a Rogue with a salvage title. No light for a while, then it started coming here and there until it stayed ON, reads as current code. Thinking the shop that repair vehicle did not reset airbag module. Your thoughts?
This code is for passenger weight se sensor. If that is the only code you have, then that occupant weight sensor needs to be calibrated, and that can be done with a diagnostic scan tool. However, if you have code B00A0 and a crash code, then you need airbag control module reset. See myairbags.com for reset and repair services.

I bought Nissan Rogue 2016 that was in accident with airbag deployed. The re-builder replaced the airbags but the SRS light stays on. I suspect the airbag module was never reprogrammed. I'm planning on removing it and sending to you (I have done it with my Honda and it worked well). Since I need the car, can I still drive it without the module? The SRS system is probably not even functional without the module being reprogrammed?

Hi I have a B0020 code on my 2014 Rogue. Do I need to just send in the module?
Code B0020 shows a Left (Driver) side airbag. Most likely a bad connection or that airbag needs to be replaced. If vehicle was in an accident then the airbag control module needs to be reset. Also check your seat belts to make sure they work good. For more info see our website www.myairbags.com

In order to find out why the airbag light is on, you would need scan the airbag system for troublecodes using a scan tool / scanner. If you have the trouble code, you can post it here and we can provide some advice.

Okay well my dog chewed through the Airbag harness underneath the front seat in my Nissan Rogue Sport 2020. The dealership quoted me $6,600. Which I believe is drastically overpriced. Being that this seems so simple I could do it myself… smh
That is crazy overpriced. Most likely just need to get the wiring fixed instead of replacing the entire wiring harness.
