Hello Curtis. That was a complete check up for sure. Most would replace factory hard start and then beer can cold works. Good knowing the shock to your hand did not get pulled against sharp objects causing injuries.
Nicely done. Can't wait for the warm weather to set in for good. We were 75 one day and 32 the next. Time to stock up on run caps. What's your favorite brand? I see you use the Compressor Saver 5-2-1 for start. That's my favorite. I don't like the 2 wire start add on's. Crappy!

Couldn't tell if the start capacitor had a bleed resistor, if so it should be removed for accurate testing.

Yesterday, temps in the mid-fifties, and rain. Today mid-fifties until after midnight, then down to 30°. Guess I'll be battling black ice tonight, I guarantee our DOT won't do anything to pre-treat the roads.

The high here in Iowa where I live was 77 by at 6 it was 75 and at midnight it was 26 and at 7 o'clock this morning the temperature was 14 degrees and snowing. By Sunday it's supposed to rebound back to the mid to upper 50s. It's just more crazy weather.

In my experience yes. Some suggest cutting it out

That looks like a 06-2010 trane unit, those were the best, trane condenser’s with the spiny fin coil always had a low head pressure and good T/D.
