I really admire your work and the simplistic way in which you explain, Mr. Moeller! I am 18, a maths student, but I am a polyphasic sleeper too (currently E3, trying SPAMAYL, I know it's harmful but I don't seem to get enough time from my clothes brand and learning programming, etc :). I am currently doing some trial-and-error and taking several notes of my naps and sleep sessions under various conditions and climates, noting the difference between a monophaser and a polyphaser. Although nobody wants to give me their "normal" monophasic brain to for EEGs, sometimes I have to bribe my own family members haha. I use openBCI by the way. I just wanted to let you know that you have been of great help to me! Thank you so much! I think I will binge watch rest of your videos hehe. Goodbye. Take care.

Thanks a lot for your clear and graphic explanation! I wonder is there any differences between subclinical seizures and electrographic Seizures?

Question: When dealing with the 'electroclinical' definition for seizures - What different clinical improvement are you looking for with anti-seizure medications (ASM)?
I presume the only clinical manifestation *before* ASMs are given would be altered mental state (AMS) - since if there were any time-locked clinical change with EEG, you would already have your diagnosis of seizure. Is this correct? So if AMS is present, and benzodiazepines are given, and the patient has different-but-ongoing AMS, how can one determine this change is not simply benzo-related? Thanks, your videos are great.

Let me see if I am getting this this right....you have AMS due to electrographic sz...and you fixed it with benzo's....now you have encephalopathy due to meds....then we wean and wait for them tem to wake up....please stop me if i am wrong and teach me

If the patient is taking effective anti-seizure medication would anything show up on an EEG?
