    The interview contains a lot of non-standard questions but which top officers need to know.I recommend for viewing

      Oh yes, MSI was digging in deep here.. most likely they have 100 of C/O for a 1 vacancy. Anyway, its a great video, useful for all senior officers.

      Hi Zaza, thanks for the comment.
      You should check oxygen level before water washing or crude oil washing of the cargo tank. It should be always less than 8% percent by volume.

      @@CaptainKG thanks for your promt reply Konstantine. About oxygen is clear...i mean not crude oil washing..just tank cleaning for.next product...O² less than 8%, HC less than 2% by volume..what else before or during please...appreciated for your advice

      I understood, but I can't help you, because I don't have experience on chemical tankers.
      On crude oil tankers normally no need to make tank cleaning before loading another kind of Crude oil. Very seldom before loading fuel oil after crude oil it is required to make tank washing. But there are no any special surveys/tests of the tanks cleanliness.

    Good day sir
    regarding the question asked on fall in IG pressure. If we dont have correct water in the PV breaker the IG can escape through it.

      Hi Sanish. In case of overpressure IG can escape thru PV Breaker but first the water in it should overflow.
      This could happen when PV valves of cargo tanks are stuck or not working correctly.

    I have some questions, can you give the answers pls ?
    1) How to work with ODME if the "Flow rate" alarm appears? , it must be automatically shut off the valve, how then to continue working?
    2) And also another question about the "heating coil", you said that you can test with air by pumping the maximum pressure of the deck compressor (about 5 kg), is this true for all tankers?
    3) On portable gas detectors, are these alarms set during calibration or after?

      Thanks for the questions
      1) Yes, on the Auto mode ODME will shut off the overboard valve, but it is possible to use the ODME on the manual mode during the current voyage. And it was mentioned the video. Need to adjust the PPM of oil content in manual mode.
      2) Some air compressors for Deck can reach up to 7 kg/cm2 according to my experience, but should be not less than 5
      3) The alarms should be set/checked after the calibration and prior of using the gas detector.

    Константин, достойное видео, сам собираюсь переходить в тикей, подскажите насчет 2го помощника, какие контракты, какие зарплаты и что по поводу типа судов, если я не хочу работать например на химовозах, могу ли я ходить в рейсы только на судах больше 100 тыс dwt ? или офис сам решает на какое судно я еду на следующий контракт?

      Спасибо за отзыв. На счёт второго помощника не могу подсказать, потому что в Тикей трудоустраивался, но потом передумал от них идти в рейс.
      Если не хочешь работать на химовозах, то просто не делай себе танкерный химический сертификат.

      Thanks for the comment. Oxygen in our atmosphere is around 20.95%. So the readings starts from 20.6% we can assume as 21 figure.

      И когда газ подаётся с верху через ig line замещение dilution

    Every company asks similar questions and nothing new or different, the same questions are asked by the nautical college surveryors, so what is the use to having the hard earned license to sail ? Ive never seen or even asked by any company interview out of the box question

      In my opinion different subjects in navy school just need for future officer as mind excersises😁
