Thanks for explaining how it works. It is a good tool, quick and easy to use, I have a similar one that I bought at a garage sale. but it comes with two more wheels, it prints the vertical names, the large horizontal names and the other small horizontal names.
You can actually buy it from Dymo. Dymo still makes the tape since they still make the one but plastic (go figure). The plastic cartridge which the tape comes in looks *exactly* like the ones you see some 1570 kits being sold online have. I'm buying a 1570 because although this plastic one works just fine, the letter spacing is so inconsistent it's really annoying.
I’m happy to say I found one of these with the original case, some tape rolls, and two spare embossing wheels for just $70. Instant buy Gonna use it in my shop and ammo reloading bench
I found a flawless full kit with paperwork in a barn clearing. Correction... I just found it in a bin from a barn clearing a did a year ago. It's so cool!
Yah the newer ones will definitely work better with new tape. This is a classic and original tape. It still sticks fine but it’s not as strong as I’d like it to be.
Greetings from the UK. Tx for the vid. V helpful. 😊 Like you, I've not had cause to use it for a long while and had forgotten how to. Especially regarding removing the backing by pinching. (I have c 6 tapes.)
Tape I usually get @ estate sales or Good Will stores. My Office Mate II wasn't advancing automatically for each letter with plenty of tape remaining. I took it apart & am looking for a video to reassembling it or a drawing.
I just came across one Scotch 760 label maker and a Dymo 1570 in their boxes...with.... about 50 rolls of tape!!! And an extra wheel! FREE!!! I've been labeling like a madman. I'm in my 30s as well and am fascinated by this stuff. I actually figured out how to use it on my own, but you showed me how to use the space wheel, I was wondering what that was for. Thanks! Any idea how to make the text align better? Is there a tension adjustment?
Haha nice haul man. 50 roles will last a lifetime. Glad I was able to help. So the wheel that pushes out the tape should space it out perfectly every time you turn it, mine does. Well enjoy tagging everything with your name haha. Cheers
@@MrBaldChronicles. I probably just need to practice more with it. :) It feels so cool using archaic tech from the 1970s. My workplace had all this old stuff including a polaroid camera in the box and they just gave it away. I jumped at the chance. I like using this much better than the boring Brother or Ptouch labelers. :D I might even make a video of my labeler for all the world to see. You've inspired me. Have a great long weekend!
Dang that was a big win. Glad I inspired you to film. If you make a vid share the link in the comments. Sometime TH-cam deletes links but hopefully I can get to it before they do. Have fun filming man.
Last weekend I found this maker along with 10 rolls of black tape at a yard sale for five bucks. I wanna bring it to work because it would be silly but I'm afraid it would actually get stolen lol!
You know what I never did but the tape is in my closet at home. When I get back home I will do my best to post what the box says. Might be a few days, power is out in my Texas neighborhood from Winter
Does anybody show you how to load the tape in any of the vintage versions? I have 1895 and I cannot figure out how to get the tape alway through… Is anyone knows where I could find a little assistance be greatly appreciated thank you .
Hi hello, i dont know so much english ,i am from kerala, one day cleaning my granpa home i get this Dymo 1570 tapewriter but i dont know how it work ,some time later i serch in youtube i see this and its helpful but i doesnt have that type of tape i only have tape writer please anyone send me that tape🥲😟
I just picked up the 1570 label maker from a thrift store with 2 rolls of tape for less than 3 dollars, happy to have found your video about it!
Nice find, enjoy it.

Right on
My plastic one just broke after like 20 labels, worthless junk. I’m getting one of these on eBay. Does the modern tape from Dymo fit in these?
@cowboyhank456 personally I haven’t used any modern tape, I still have lots of rolls it came with, still holds up.
I’m happy to say I found one of these with the original case, some tape rolls, and two spare embossing wheels for just $70. Instant buy

Nice. Have fun with it.
These were so fun in the 1980s I remember making so many funny labels!!
I found a flawless full kit with paperwork in a barn clearing.

Nice find. They're classic
I just found one at my work the same Dymo 1570 with 7 packs of tape.
Thats a nice find. I still have mine with tape.
You can buy new tape on Amazon. The vintage tape doesn't work that well. The adhesive is kind of dried up.

@pazuzu: do you have info on which tape to buy on Amazon? Thanks.

There are several of every iteration of this thing available on Ebay.

So its 1/2 blue. # 230303.

Fits all label makers.
Thats what it says
The Dymo 1550 can use 1/4" and 3/8" tapes, while the Dymo 1570 can use 3/8" and 1/2" tapes.

@@MrBaldChronicles. yes it works 🤗
I'd start with ebay

Can this use aluminum tape or only the plastic?
I’ve never seen aluminum tape. Great question. If it’s the same dimensions I don’t see why not. If you find out let me know. Cheers
Only plastic. The DYMO Rhino M1011 (Still sold) is the one that can do aluminum.
Видео снимал на утюг?
