Reminds me of when I got my Sabian Cymbals from the factory in Meductic, New Brunswick. AAX Series: 10" Splash, 14" X-Cellerator Hats, 14", 16" and 18" X-Plosion Crashes, 18" Chinese and 21" Raw Bell Dry Ride. Worth about CAD$ 2000!

I use a 20" HHX legacy ride as my right hand crash it's so fantastic, it goes beautifully with my 19" HHXtreme crash both very dark and washy, then my hi hats and ride are both quite bright gives such a great sound. Really glad you got the deal you wanted, I also play all sabian, they are the only cymbals I will ever use, and if I ever get an endorsement I will be as excited as you are!

The O-Zone over Paragon stack on an X hat is the fucking sickest, man. Used one for ages, until I decided I was going to give into playing Zildjians only. The stack was the only non-Zildjian K cymbals in the set up haha
The 21" Groove ride is my absolute favorite ride cymbal. I have the 14" Groove hats and they are amazing as well. Nice set up Ben! You deserve the endorsement.

Beautiful setup, man. Would you consider doing a review on those Evans Hydraulic heads that you love so much? I'm curious as to how they sound. I know that there's plenty of reviews out there already, but I'm curious as to what your take on them is.

They are. Typical hats are 14" those are 15s.
hi hats are usually 14" but you can get 13" and 15" aswell

It will be interesting and awesome to hear those hats in a mix. I would have thought you'd have a much heavier pair with a brighter sound, but that's just conventional (unimaginative?) thinking at work.

I'm not a drummer nor do I have a great musical ear, I usually notice cymbals the most when they sound annoying :)
But I understand this passionate quest from a professional musician to obtain the ultimate kit of his dream. The cost for these becomes irrelevant when your whole being is ready.

How much you spent in these cymbals?
Man that is an insane spread. I like the dry China stuff as well. When you ordered was it a set kit or special as you picked. What was the price rang approx. ish Just assume man Just assume. Got my interest ,,,,,,just insane
So how do you mount your main stack? Do you put any felts or other stuff between the cymbals when you stack them or just keep the wingnut a little loose? I don't use wingnuts..I use grombals so..yeah lol
Do you have to get a hi hat clutch kind of extension? I've never had a stack before.
+immer besser hi there I just put them on a normal cymbal arm. All the cymbals are the right way up and I use a felt on the top and bottom, with the wing nut tightened so that you get the sound you are looking for.

Yea in high school Zildjians were accessible. But then you grow up, like Rob did, and want something serious and made of the highest quality. Sabian have the best sounding chinas to.

I'm a Sabian guy and have played the Garibaldi 13" Jam Master hats for 11 years, with a 21" HHX groove ride too boot. I love the groove ride, emphasis on love. Lots of body and wash, great as a crash, with enough stick to rock and still be heard by an audience. It isn't a very loud cymbal, but its peak volume has a great sustain with a lengthy decay........ point being ----- Zildjian and Paiste make great cymbals. You can't really top New Beat hi-hats. 2002s and Giant Beats were the sounds of 70's rock. Rudes and the pre-2002 Z customs were best in class (I think Sabian makes subpar heavy cymbals). Respect the other players in the market, and don't forget Dream. Sabian is my favorite - consistency, they blend easily with other manufactoreres, a warranty they will follow through with (I broke a 16" Oriental china 2ce, the second time they wouldn't replace it. I wouldn't need to replace a Sabian). ------ I have little personal experience with Meinl, but I've heard some great sounds from them - along with drummer friends who are now "pro-Meinl". ----- Find the cymbal (not brand) - that fits your budget, ears, and has the right "feel"(and doesn't crack, Paiste)
Ken Berens I've been wanting a pair of those since hearing them. Very rare. I am currently obsessed with Xtreme crashes in all sizes. Even picked up a Legacy Ozone Ride which is badass. Sabian just offers so much.
Watch out. There are two types of Jam Masters I've heard(inconsistent). You can hear it on youtube. The high pitched ones(no good). And the lower pitched, more colorful pair.
The closest hats to the Jam Master I ever heard were 13" Paiste Visions. But you couldn't control the Visions. The Visions sounded just like "Good Grief", track 5 off of the self-titled Foo Fighters album.
