I don’t know why people give Hilary such a hard time... She is heaps better than Rachel, Kelly or Jenny. Gives good advice but takes no nonsense. If I were in Dragon’s Den, I’d happily work with her.

I honestly quite like Hilary, there's something endeering about her. She's always quite sweet and supportive and always gets into whatever they're saying. She always seems engaged and interested. Plus its the pack a day smokers voice. She radiates big gin and tonic aunt energy.

I loved Deborah’s savagery at 03:48, not caring what the entrepreneur thought about their product. Investors want substance more than passion but you have to strike the balance because they also expect you to be committed. It’s a bit harsh though because you’re unlikely to ever be successful if you don’t believe in yourself.

Eyelash combs have been around forever lol hardly revolutionary. Seperating lashes individually is unnecessary. You can find much cheaper and probably more effective ones on Amazon.
Ever since I can remember there have been brushes and other tools to help apply mascara and keep individual lashes separate. This woman went to the Den to pitch a square wheel.
In the 1960s when Maybelline had some solid cake mascara that you had to wet and apply with an applicator, they also had a tiny comb that separated eyelashes, so the idea has been around for a long time. The mascara brushes now separate lashes as you are applying so if you know how to apply mascara properly, it will not clump. Or you need to buy a better brand of mascara if it doesn't apply properly.
Obviously idk how long is 'forever' but this video is 10 years old

@@ayleven8492 oh muuch further back than that. Were talking the 50s & 60s. Mascara used to be much more liquidy than the more modern viscous ones. So combs were used even before the modern day spoolies were popularized.

Actually I always believed we should not use our hands to cover coughs or sneezes looooong ago. I've always used my inside of elbow or inside of coat flap to catch any spray if caught off guard. I've been disgusted with handshaking for as long as I can remember... know for sure people rarely washed their hands after bathroom trips and then held out their hand to touch mine!
