They should have mentioned and posted where to get a test package from.

For those asking what to do. Open windows in your basement and circulate the air. It takes a while for radon to build up so even doing that once amonth or so will significantly reduce the amount in your home. You can of course install scrubers and monitors which are a couple grand, but not many people have a couple of grand to through around these days.

Thanks for the advice. And have you read how long the windows need to be opened? Maybe an hour once a month?

@@ddhqj2023 Hello I would simply suggest that opening all the windows in the house or apartments everyday for an hour or more !
more so on the warmer days and if you plan to step out and be away from the home then turn the heat systems down or even turn them all completely off and open a couple windows even on the fall /spring cooler days and even during colder winter season days as when and if such is possible as of course without having to fear of the water pipes freezing up on such colder days of temps below 0 !! Point is why not because you're not going to freeze to death when you're not at home to need having worry about that being an issue !!! LOL
Just keep a warm sweater and or coat on when you arrive back home point being just till the home heat back up !!
and certainly be it wise at best to invest in thick warm wooly socks and of but course a pair of cozy Slippers !!!
sound a bit funny for sure lol however not so much joking just covering all the bases
and just as well of course to mind my advise and play it smart such as perhaps be it wise to ask a kind and trustworthy neighbor to keep an eye out monitor the house while you leave the house with the windows open !!
and or install security cameras !!
or get a watch/guard dog with a loud bark and big teeth LOL ok just joking a bit more here and there !!!
but besides at least you can maintain that added piece of mind and think of this benefit by doing so it will help out financially as by lowering the heat is certainly a means to save us all some money !!
And finally all my thoughtful advises sum up to the primary purposes and means to reduce the rate of our exposure to the Radon
alongside lowering the risk levels that ⚠Radon as Is now known to have on our heath !!
      Good Day Friend !!
Food For Thought !! And I Hope This Helps Everyone Out !! Truth❣

We just built a small home in the Cariboo. We had to put in this 6 inch tube from the middle of our cement foundation.

Yes. BILLIONS of years. Nothing is happening with radon levels that is new or newsworthy. CityNews is not being honest in its reporting. They think everyone is gullible. Well: ARE you? 30 seconds of reading Wikipedia sorts this lie out very quickly!

Seal any cracks in your foundation and have proper ventilation.

Radon is completely different than deliberately poisoning our environment with too much carbon from burning fossil fuels.

@@indragurung9946thats what 'they' do. If they actually cared for our health, they would have eliminated GMOs by now.
Seems that the more science advances, the sicker we get and the richer they get.

Pilot in old water heater will take radon out of your home 24/7. If you have newer water heater - separate venting might be a solution.

This is not correct. Radon is radioactive and cannot be affected by a flame. Not even a small flame. Don't spread misinformation!😡

Then you are probably not going to have much of a problem because the radon seeps up through breaks in the foundation of residential buildings and tends to accumulate in basements. And less on the first floor with probably even less on each floor above.

This is too much…….id rather go with faith. If im meant to go it’s up to God. So many people can test for radon for years and guess what? It doesn’t matter because these people can’t do anything about it! You want a tenant that lives in a basement to spend a smart TV worth of money on a home that’s not even theirs? It may be affordable for the landlord but they aren’t obligated to do it, they’ll just say get out and stay quiet for the next tenant. Moreover, why not say what the resolution is instead of vaguely mentioning it will fix the problem and cost a certain amount….
