Thanks for the tips -- the small lake I live on was stocked with some 23" rainbows a week ago and I'm gonna try to get me one tomorrow before all the snow arrives! (In Maine) ... not too many people talk about how to catch trout late fall when the water temps are below 50 degrees, so I appreciate that you did. (Water on my lake is about 41 right now).

I've seen boaters checking the water temps at various depths to determine where to troll with down riggers.
