Awesome job Aaron, I love Truman boots. I own that same boot but with the 20 last, one of my most comfortable boots. I use otter's wax with that boot, really restores the wax flesh look.
That’s a great product, I used a little bit of mink oil cause the costumer wanted to take care of that. How do you size on the 20 last comparing to 55? Thank you!
@@AaronG2480 I size down 1/2 size from my Brannock size. Since I am 9.5 Brannock, I ordered 9 in Truman (79 and 20 last). I love the 20 last, so comfortable (I like toe space)
@@patrickmiao1698 If I'm a 10 Brannock, that needs toe space and wears darn tough merino wool socks which would you recommend on the 79 last? I wear a 9.5D in alden Indy. Waiting on my first PNW boot white's MP on the 5050 last and they suggested 9.5E.
Life got really busy again, and I have fallen behind on your videos. But that's okay. It means I have a bunch of your videos I get to watch!!! Anyhow, you did a great job as usual on these boots, and I look forward to catching up on what you've been up to! ✌
Nice work. I think/hope Trumans currently use cork filler instead of rubber/foam. I love the Vibram V100s even if they're a PITA to install. Aaron, do you have any experience installing Dr. Sole Tumaz soles? Are they a comparable alternative?
Hey can you do a video on what soaps and conditioners you recommend for certain leathers? Personally I own oro legacy moc toe and iron ranger amber harness. I think I’ve seen a few where you mention some but I can’t find that video.
Fiebing’s saddle soap and Cadillac leather conditioner is what I mostly use You can also use -Bick 4 -Venetian shoe cream I highly recommend Red Wings Neatsfoot oil blend (Leather cream)
@@AaronG2480 check out some of the boots I have posted on my channel. One day you’ll get them in the shop! I think the first pair will be the JK forefront my work boots. I just picked up the amazing shoes by quan the shoemaker.
Awesome Job, those boosts looks great. With leather filler your used, is there any concern it might squeak with the leather midsole ? I see some times brands like Nicks will use a thin slip sole in between thicker leather layers.
Great video! Two questions: at 8:00 you're driving screws. Yeah? And I wish you would show a shot of them at the very end, all finished. Because I bet they look amazing.
@tonymoore2100 Trumans don’t have screws, it’s actually the type of soles what uses screws in this case the vibram 100 Non of the Truman Boots have Vibram 100
why the thin piece of leather instead of cork is that why you didnt hammer the middle of the leather mid sole cause it would have curved in cause the gap was to much
The leather I used is as thick as the (foam) the boots come with. Reason I didn’t hammer the (midsoles ) is because I always press the welt first and then I hammer the midsoles Soles Just didn’t record that part. Leather is better than cork, some times I use it even though I don’t get pay for it. 99% of the times I use (cork ) BTW the fact that you saw (the gap you mentioned) Is because the Welt was not totally flat yet. If you pay attention you’ll notice that when I showed the boots the soles are just normal (flat) Cheers
Saludos
Those things are tanks now! 💪💪

Damn your so good and humble. Where can I donate? I don't live in LA
Those boots sure are covered in allot of sno-seal or some kind of dubbin, wow. I think those soles are going to outlive the boots!
Yeah They’re actually the Waxed flesh ones.

I’ve done a couple of pairs

Can you please tell your thoughts on the Truman Eugene soles? Are they soft enough or should I go wedge?
To me they are a bit hard
I personally like wedge or soft soles over rubber soles, but that’s just me
Some people love rubber soles, is not my case
