Even though TCM: The Beginning is not a good movie especially coming off of the surprisingly well done 2003 film, I do like how this handles Leatherface more than it's predecessor which while he's still incredibly intimidating with a lot of real raw anger you're still able to feel genuine sympathy for him without losing his menace.
Idk if it’s me being mentally unstable but when he (Thomas) came into the dining room after Charlie told him to come have dinner and when I saw his hands I started blushing like a mf.
I like this version of Leather Face, I love the expressions of the actor who plays him and his way of acting. Besides everything, he is super attractive

That shot at 0:38 is absolutely terrifying. It's in broad daylight when everything feels more alive, safe and real, and you have that thing without any sense of morality whatsoever walking freely in the open world. The whole damn world is its slaughterhouse. The movie and the horror mostly revolves in the night, and the events feel enclosed to that one part and home. But with a broader look, that daylight shot showed us that at any point, he can move from that enclosed safe space, and the whole world would be at its mercy. It walks on this earth where we live. That's horrific.
That's literally one of my favorite shots in horror I always tell people that TCM: The Beginning is one of the rare movies that actually captures the aesthetic in the movie poster
My favorite TCM remake :) Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is such a good movie because it takes the concept of Leatherface, and puts a completely different spin on him. Instead of remaking the original and turning it into some cash grab, Thomas Hewitt is a completely unique interpretation, making it so incredibly original while still being inspired by the original Texas Chainsaw film, and I appreciate it so much that they decided to rewrite him completely instead of creating a cheap prequel like many others have. Andrew Bryniarski is an incredible actor and nobody could’ve played tommy better :)
The appearance of the character is awesome, he’s got that buff look of fear, also loved the look of michel myers in the 2008 version and of course my fav Jason voorhees look 2009 version,
I saw this movie in theaters and from then until today I'm highly impressed I love it! this scene especially when he walks off onto the road with a chainsaw.
Okay can I take a quick poll and see if anyone else hears him say "No" before slamming the cleaver down at the very start of this package? No one can talk me out of it but I'm curious 🥰
While I can say the 2003 was a better movie, I think this one brought the gore and better kills the previous one didn't. The 2003 movie, while fun, seemed very tame.
I prefer him without the final mask on, we get to see more of his eyes with the one he has on throughout the whole movie. I'm sure I would be the firsts victim in the movie because I would try to hug him XD

Alright but i'm actually a big fan of this Leatherface look, the movie in general is not too good compared to the 2003 one but i like the look of my boy big Tommy with long hair and a half-face mask instead of a full skin mask, i wish they kept it for the whole movie instead of switching to the other one tbh

So TCM 2006 is sequel from 2003 or not?
