I genuinely believed this was a true story as a kid when they showed the "footage" of the police in the end. This movie made me don't want to go to texas. Definitely one of the few remakes that is comparable to the original. The first one was disturbing. This was terrifying. Both amazing.

The 2022 movie makes this look like a masterpiece. And I love how they threw in a lot of nods to the original, the door, the sledgehammer scene, him falling and cutting his leg, and him spinning the chainsaw with one arm (albeit because his arm got cut off).
They where NOT playing when they made the set design for this movie .... It just oozes atmosphere and filth ..... Good work on tre movie makers part , they all came together to create something terrifying

When i saw this as a kid it struck fear into my heart and balls. Seeing someone wear the face of your lover of must be a one hell of a shit show and terrifying to say the least.

I was 10 and living in Corpus Christie Texas when this came out and it terrified me for pretty much for the rest of the year. I couldn’t sleep for weeks and got super nervous anytime we were on the road late at night from out of town. Didn’t even matter that I lived in a completely separate county miles away.
I et like that sometimes when watching things that could happen in real life or psychological stuff. People think violent stuff like Kill Bill, Mortal Kombat or GTA is what damages/scares children. That would be things like this or psychological stuff which makes people think. At least for me.
Leather Face would be an excellent handyman to have around the house. 1. He’s good with a hammer 2. Ripped clothes? No problem. He can sew 3. Dead tree in the yard? We all know he’s great with a chainsaw 4. Annoying neighbors? See no. 1 and 3
This is my favorite version. This Leatherface was truly terrifying. He would sprint full speed, not limp along like in the early 80s. There is nothing worse than a chainsaw welding psycho with cardio.
This movie made me so scared. It really shows how human he is. Leather-face injuring himself in the thigh, in pain he got his arm chopped off and he sat down to take a break. Made him look more scary because he just kept coming. Unlike now when he is just super human strength like Michael myers 😂
