State Champs, Knuckle Puck, Front Porch Step, Neck Deep, Citizens, The Story So Far, Real Friends. I discovered all of them today and I couldn't be happier.
This song is what I need! Ugh love it so much. I love how state champs vocals aren't as raspy as most pop punk bands are and this song is so upbeat and makes you wanna go crazy with friends or something haha
I saw State Champs last week on the 29/06/2015. They opened for 5SOS in Australia and i was at the Perth concert and it was amazing!! I met them at Perth airport and they are so nice! They're songs have been on repeat all week! Another band to love! Cant wait to see you guys again. Hope i can anyway!

This was the first band I've ever seen live (opened for another band I went to see) and I am so glad I can say my first concert was a State Champs concert instead of the other band I actually went to see.
i hope i don't get hate for this haha but to me they have a sort of 5sos vibe, not like the music 5sos have in the charts but their other music, and the songs they play live, that don't have studio versions. to me, that's a good thing bc i love the pop punk genre
i actually agree with you (btw, i like 5sos as well). the vibe of the works by state champs does remind me of stuff done by 5sos, especially during their "pre-she looks so perfect" days (for example, try hard-5sos)
Why do you think this? By the way, the only way that 5SOS is considered "Punk" is the guitar riffs. There is no punk vibe in their vocals. They are almost straight pop.
Real Friends are moving up to. TSSF and The Wonder Years are top for sure. Neck Deep are gonna release their new album soon and that shit is gonna be the bomb!
they put on the *BEST* show. Sorry Sum 41, not sorry. These guys quickly became the face of the genre. It's because of their powerful live sets, and GREAT feel good music. #poppunkisntgoinganywhere
Four Year Strong is old news and so are The Wonder Years. TSSF is pretty good but they fall short on vocals when compared to State Champs. Derek just blows Parker out the water haha
Started listening to these because there's a gig coming up that i'm in two minds to go too. State Champs seems a little average, nothing really stands out for me when I listen to them. they sound pretty similar to most other bands in the same genre
state champs were the band that made me start listening to bands like the wonder years and tssf. The wonder years and tssf sound alike to me but state champs songs have more energy and sounds better to me.
