- How Jayden Daniels Went From Laughingstock to NFL Superstar
Jayden Daniels is lighting it up as a rookie, but he almost never even made it on his high school football team. He was so skinny that he needed to get medically cleared by a doctor before he could play. And this narrative never left him.
But despite his slender frame, Jayden Daniels has put the world of football on notice, one level at a time. Since he got that medical clearance in high school, his performance has even left lasting changes to his community. And he isn’t just “a good rookie quarterback.” He’s breaking records that make you wonder- “Is he the best rookie quarterback that we’ve ever seen?”
Jayden Daniels was raised in San Bernardino, California, which is a rough place to live. With a population of about 216,000, there are estimated to be 45 gangs with a total of about 1,000 members, meaning roughly one in every 200 people there is a gang member. In a city known for violence, the high school he would attend, Cajon High School, was not known for football. Jayden’s parents were big supporters when it came to Jayden playing the game, especially his father who once played for Iowa State. Jayden’s dad thought he could make a nice cornerback, but Jayden showed promise as a quarterback. He wanted to play Varsity ball, but due to the fact that he was under 15 and weighed so little, he needed to be medically cleared first.
He's going to be the Shohei Ohtani of football. The kid has been prepping for this type of success all his life and he's been phenomenal at every stage so far. He's got a cannon of an arm for someone built that way, he runs like a receiver, and by just looking at his temperament while playing he's almost like someone playing football in junior high. He's having fun out there like a kid...kinda like Shohei.
Ultimate yap comment
Honestly, he's young and slim which tells me that he'll probably put some weight on as he gets older but not the type of weight that will significantly slow him down.
Def the best rookie qb we’ve ever seen.
Excellent work, thanks! We love JD#5 !!!
He needed medical clearance to start on his HS team because he was in 9th grade, not because he was skinny.
Legend in the makings!👑

9 Touchdowns Now💪🏻 gonna be more this Sunday. #RaiseHail
But he's 6'4 210lbs. Nfl is full of freaks if that's considered skinny
it kind of is though lol - i agree weve seen skinnier NFL athletes
Is he actually 210? He seems closer to 190-200 visually, but people carry weight differently so idk
@@jasoneng3161 i just watched the latest interview he did with Chris Sims he confirmed that him and coaches agreed for him to be around 210-215 throughout the season
JD youz a superstar boy!
I still think Daniel Jones is at significant risk of getting injured. Just wait a year or two, maybe even three, he's gotta put on weight.
I live right next to San Bernardino lol
Slim shady
😂
Madhouse in Maryland miracle
