TH-cam is where I come to learn about new plants, I’m well over a 100 plants, but you have the best care video I have seen. Thank you! I will be sharing it with everyone I can!
I got my pings yesterday and they came with a whole care booklet. The seller keeps hers in a tray with water at all times, like you did in your drosera capensis video, and I'll definitely keep them in the conditions she recommends while they acclimate. After that, I'll look a little more into drying out slightly vs. staying wet. I'm glad to be informed about different ways of managing the same plant. Since these pings are used to being kept in trays of water, I followed your drosera capensis potting instructions with a paper towel - thank you!
Thank you so much for the support and the order! The crushed glass is always available individually too. Maybe with the next order! I so appreciate you supporting the channel and my business!!
Gz mate, been watching your videos for awhile. Its always great when people reach their goals. Too bad im from Europe or i would had bought stuff from you. Keep up the good work.👍
No worries my friend! You being here watching the videos, even dropping me a comment are all forms of support. I appreciate it so much. Been a long road and I still have a long way to go. Getting there though!
I started with 4 plants in a California_Carnivors Ping kit. I have become over run with them! My latest experiment is sticking pings & moss onto lava rocks served in antique dessert stemware. They are thriving. I use a lot of Tupperware as prop boxes. Just got one yesterday at the local church rummage sale for 50c. Set one aside & use it as carn compost. You never know what plant will decide to grow out of it!
Yes! I've been looking into it. I think I'm going to get some and maybe do an advanced care video that covers fertilizing and using fluval stratum. Good callout!
I haven't noticed any ill effects. I keep the layer pretty thin though. I would imagine if you laid it on thick it might. But I always keep mine super thin so the roots can be sitting in the main substrate and not on the glass.
Hi.. Can you guide me with this uear Dormant cycle for my Carnivorous plants especially the Venus Flytraps.. I got around 50+ varieties.. I am from India..
HELP! My carnivorous plants were infested with aphid (greenfly or what's the correct name). I have sundew, venus flytrap and sarracenia and never had this problem before. I noticed them and I'm removing them with tweezers. I need an idea for a spray that would be harmless for my plants. Thank you!
I have a question about my Venus fly trap. My trap actually came with a baby trap and I potted them together. They were not attached btw. Now the big trap has swallowed one of the tiny traps. Should I repot the small one into another pot? I know I should wait till after dormancy but just wanna know what you think.

Of course! Thank you!

Yes! My entire collection of sethos came from two mother plants. They can divide and conquer. Amazing plants!
I used fluval stratum for some pings, with very good results, sure it more expensive but less messy 😅.

I have heard that fluvial stratum breaks down over time is this true?
Does a fine topper like the glass effect the flow of oxygen to the ping roots?

I would! You don't have to, it's a preference thing. But if you want to separate the babies pull it out during dormancy and divide them!
@@CarnivorousPlantsHub ok, I definitely will! I appreciate this video and thank you for getting me into this hobby!
@Esmexie of course! I'm so glad you got in!
