Much better video of the Table mountain hike. I've done this many times and the springtime flowers at top picnic is hard to beat.

Thanks for the video. This was my first time hiking Table Mountain and your instructions were crystal clear. Overall, I think the video made the navigation much easier than reading some of the other directions posted online. I started at the Bonneville Springs Resort and ended up hiking the loop. Great views of St. Helens, Ranier, Adams and Mt. Hood. For what it's worth, my TomTom Nike GPS watch recorded the distance as 12.5 miles. Left at 8:00am and returned back to the car around 2:00pm.

The start at Bonneville Hot Spring Resort is no longer available. The round trip distance from the Bonneville trail head is nearly 16 miles.

Excellent video which made me to want to go there and I did it. You captured everything perfectly. But, I agree with Emily here that the PCT loop going down was terrible. I am ok with the Cliffs and don't have an issue with the height. However, the rocks there seem to have been stable during your hike down in April, but when I went in August it was all loose rocks and we had to slide at few places.
I guess it takes skill to take videos, talk and walk in that trail which you did. :) Kudos to you. Great job. Looking forward to more videos from you.

Helpful video, but I DON'T suggest taking the PCT loop down, especially if you're afraid of heights. That section of the hike is absolutely terrifying.
In the past few years I've done the Table Mountain hike a couple of times - the first we did PCT to get down, the second time we took Heartbreak Ridge. The PCT has too many cliffs and rocks to be a safe descent unless you're an extremely skilled hiker.
I'd also suggest to do the hike in the late spring & summer for the best views & weather.

We love the Silver Star Mountain Hike- Probably one of my most favorite for the fields of wildflowers and the views of the mountains. I am excited to film that next spring/summer.

Yes this route can certainly be challenging. Especially when wet. Thanks for the comments.

How many spots to camp are there along the trail? Are there any near the top? We are looking to backpack this this summer and get up early for a table mountain sunrise

If i know there are bears in the woods I would never go hiking with my dog, that's asking for trouble.
