Let's pay attention to the characters that are corrupted for a bit. The vast majority of these characters are from shows that ended. It doesn't matter if it is from CN, Nick, Disney, or whatever. If a show ends, they are BOUND to become corrupted. Could Pibby and the gang also work to protect the shows that haven't ended yet?

This is interesting, I hope the glitch has an non cliche explanation other than rule of cool, and also that the show is an actual crossover. It seemed really ambitious from the trailer, I don't know if they can get all those rights. Although if the characters are able to interact because they belong to the same pack, then they should still be able to crossover if they belong to the same service. As a random thought, since Pibby seems to be the only character who is able to visit other shows, what if the darkness doesn't actually want to kill her and is only trying to scare her away so she runs to another show, allowing the glitch to follow her and consume her. It would be interesting if she realized that every time she runs she is dooming another universe.
I have a interesting theory What if this series is essentially a metaphor for how little we realize the role of side characters in all our favorite shows have within them. We’re so focused on whatever the main characters are doing that all the side characters just pass our eye. Sometimes, we don’t even notice their appearance. I personally think the glitch represents corporatism and how tv networks turn good, passionate shows and turn them into cash cows. You can see this with how all the infected characters are smiling, as the networks rip away all personality and just replace it with mind-numbing "happiness" in order to win the appeal of as large an audience as possible.
And Pibby being originally one of the cash cows (not infected, but a saccharine children’s show nonetheless), it sort of sets a dynamic of a cog in the system witnessing the darkness of her origin’s corporate greed.
It makes sense, I mean just look at what Nickelodeon did to Spongebob. Stephen Hillenburg wanted the first movie after season 3 to be the finale but the higher ups at Nickelodeon kept the show going to milk the franchise for as much money as possible. Now Spongebob is just perpetually happy, when he used to have a range of emotions in the first 3 seasons.

I believe that the glitch represents many things: 1) Growing up as cartoons are meant to be our escape from reality as children, but as we grow up reality bleeds in and destroys our fantasy worlds. 2) Corporations trying to survive by destroying and twisting their franchises into something terrible 3) The internet making jokes and twisting children shows into horrible parodies. but I'll add your theory to the collection.

Maybe it could be nostalgia? Almost all the referenced shows had ended at this time and were shows that generations of children grew up with. And, everyone was talking about it, which made it EXTREMELY hard to even glance at TH-cam or Twitter without seeing it. So I took a chance with this video. I was watching a television, I think it was at a store (some stores like shoe stores had randomly placed, loose wired televisions placed around to keep kids entertained). At the time, I watched tv way too close to the screen. I think it had a vhs taping of nickelodeon or cartoon network, so my eyes were practically glued to the screen. Then, suddenly the screen flashed, and the cartoon I was watching was half there, half static. Character's eyes and mouths filled with static, parts of them gone while others distorted, while the audio broken, glitched out, and suddenly got louder. I jumped back, hit my head, and for some reason I looked back at the television. I guess my head hurt so much i didnt want to get up, but my eyes still locked on to it. I sat there, for the pain to go away before running off. Unfortunately I can't remember all the details surrounding the event because I was so young. I think the vhs tape was damaged or something. I just remember the television.
Pibby looks so badass. I really love concept of it, how the cartoon universe is threaten by a black glitchy-distorted monster that consumes all in its path and turns cartoon favorites into distorted drones. This has so much potential and looks to be an amazing show, let’s hope it happens!! 😁👍💙
Cartoon Network has recently registered Learning With Pibby: Apocalypse as a copyright name, so it's for sure that it'll happen. We just don't know when or where.
I feel like I know how this show ends. Pibby sacrificing herself to stop the glitch. Pulling a why nobody remembers her show creepypasta. Also pibby having her eye taken and her fighting fate(if your theory is correct) is very reminiscent of odin in norse myth.
In my opinion, the Glitch is an example of tv channel overlords. When a show is created, and has run a certain amount of times, they toss it aside and treat it as if it hardly existed, with only parts of it showing what it once was. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what the show is portraying, and I'd be excited to see how it turns out. Edit: Matpat should get on this so we can see his theory on what the glitch/virus is.

Also with the death of cable being the point of the synbolisn, the fact that it's only including ended/cancelled shows makes perfect sense. Cable isn't dead quite YET so the still ongoing shows are safe. But they won't be for long when they inevetably end.
It's possible the glitch could represent something I like to call "content decay", which is when a form of art slowly but surely begins getting less accessible and thrown into obscurity. Like how a lot of old 70's and 80's anime ends up becoming lost footage or how video games start becoming harder to come across thanks to only being available on an old console that's too expensive to buy on the modern market.

Pibby could actually go one step even further, and darker. The characters wont just be reborn into streaming, they cant. But they can get reboted to be able to. With streaming, binging is now possible, and shows are being made with that in mind. The 1 tiny mystery every episode of scooby doo just wont cut it on streaming. Instead, it could be changed to have big mysteries that last an entire season. But because these are new shows, the old ones have to die. The glitch makes shows worthy of streaming but can no longer exist on tv. Pibby will either die or just live on as the glitch stuck for all eterinty, while a new Pibby takes her place on streaming.
who is to say this hasn't already happened once? I mean, just look at Steven Universe or Adventure time. how both technically got reboots, throwing out what the old story was and making a new one, completely changing the characters both physically and mentally. again, because these shows are dead, meaning no one makes new episodes, they have to make reboots to keep the money train rolling.
With all of these shows dying that would have to mean that they would have to make a collaboration with all of these shows to show how they died and tell the viewers that they are dead and to wait for a reboot so they are restored to there original state but are able to make references to other shows.
Interesstingly, I have two theorys on my own, about that glitch thing, and what it represents. The first one, is actuall the complete opposit, of your explanation. That Pibby and all the other shows, are already on streaming platforms, and the glitch represents the power of the old ways/versions. It is a manifestation, of the kable and co. channels, that try despairtly to cling on the new versions, in order to stay alive. Like an rebelion, against the inevitable Evolution, that is happening in the media. That's why all the characters faces are frozen in a weird smile, since back in the old days, many of these Shows did bring us laughter and childish joy, and were mostly carefree and had an overall happy theme. The glitch tries to go back in that time, by freezing the laughing/smiling faces, of the characters, so that it will never be over, and lasting forever, ensuring its survival. The second theory is, that the glitch represents all the scrapped shows, that never made it to the actuall board. All the abonded Shows, that are only known f.e. through pilot episodes, trailers, teasers or not at all, since they were not popular enough. And lets be honest, especially in the case of cartoon Network, there would be quite an amount of them. And now they're taking their revenge, by glitching into the more popular/new shows, to make the ones they think are responsible, suffer like they did.
*To be honest, the fact that Spongebob is affiliated with this is the only thing out of the ordinary. Some of the shows that are now on Boomerang were originally on Cartoon Network, so the characters from those shows being in this make sense.*
I believe the "Glitch" to either be a... Decayed represantation of us, of our Nostalgia, trying it's hardest to preserve what it has loved, only to unknowingly corrupt what it had been trying to save. However, another notion to consider is what the "Glitch" seems to be, as of yet, it seems to be some sort of sentient "Datamosh," which is basically a corrupted part of an image or video, if compared to real life, it could be similar to that of "False Vacuum Decay," a theoretical situation where it corrupts a spreading portion of reality itself in a cascade. In a way, both are the same, to the Cartoons, "DataMosh" is their reality being stored wrong or damaged, whereas "False Vacuum Decay" is the same thing, in which a "Higgs Field" suddenly leaves it's state of "False Vacuum," causing it to trigger other "Higgs Fields" in a destructive cascade of energy, this cascade is what "False Vacuum Decay" is, however, due to what "Higgs Fields" do, Physics within the space that was consumed by the False Deca would change, corrupting reality.

Overall, the glitch for me is what we consider the end of certain memories as we knew it. In this case, they are cartoon network shows. And when the show ends, the memories of these shows still exist, but they have since been warped to a point that it is where they're merged in a mesh of sorts of what we call "old" or "dead" shows. Over time, the characters change and warp, losing their integrity as the memory of them is molded into this mesh of Cartoon Network influence before fading into obscurity. This show may relate to the idea that shows, like people, die twice. First officially, then silently.

The Glitch is an entity that could represent either: Executives in the "Real World", a metaphor of pulling off shows from channels, and/or a 4th Wall Break that will be hinted at. That's my thoughts. Wow that was dark, but I don't think streaming are the end of cartoon time schedules because think of the services as a time machine it allows you see all your favorite cartoons either from the past or the future. Not to mention cartoon schedules will still be a thing no matter where you go because you still have to wait for the creators to make the new episode.
I like this theory a lot more than the standard Corporate Greed architype that things like this are associated with. It's why I also liked Gumbal's Void theory. Rather than it being a benevolent evil exploiting and reshaping the characters into shitty remakes and things like that, this is an erasure of a past tradition that we may never see the same way again as Icons get abducted and taken off the air forever, and get separated into their own isolated bubble, frozen in time for the rest of eternity as Pibby tells a story about how change is inevitable, and we can't always escape it, but we can make the most of it and continue on with out lives, fighting for both what we believe in and the friends we make along the way as the story may inevitably come to an end, it's our choice to decide how we get to it. Do we accept fate early on and give up? Do we try to run from it? Or do we fight it head on? And that's a choice everyone has to make.

What I think about the “Glitch” is that it’s about shows that have already ended and the void trying to get their souls out of the network. But the fans still want to bring them back. The cartoons have power and try to get out of the void to capture more cartoons that have discontinued. Since “Learning with Pibby” ended, the glitch try to capture Pibby and her pals. Thats my opinion, so yeah.
I think the glitch means that it is time for them to go, so if you think about it all of the tv shows corrupted are shows that stopped making more episodes other than holiday episodes. Adventure time, Gumball, Steven universe, and ect are done making more episodes.
I think it means an end to the show, that the glitch has to remove all characters before a new show takes its place, once all the characters are corrupted the world can be reset
Seeing TV stuff come to an end is pretty heartbreaking. The last time I got to see a lot of my friends togther in one place consistantly, was when Samurai Jack was rebooted for that last season. We made a small party out of it, meeting up beforehand with food and drinks and hanging out, something there just isn't as much time to do nowadays.
It's actually true tv cartoons are starting to go and it's a bit sad since we got so attached to them that watching them go felt like your entire like flashed before your eyes
Personally I think the creators or writers will just ruin the whole thing by making the glitch us or rather the fandom of all these shows. Something about corrupting our consuming shows, nostalgia, wanting more idk but I really hope they dont. I just want it to be a mysterious evil entity. It doesn't need to symbolize anything. Since we're all sharing our theories on the Glitch, I may as well share mine. It may sound farfetched to some, but there is at least some possibility to it. I believe the Glitch is a corrupted form of a prototype version of Pibby. How and why do I think this? Well, this is mainly based on an earlier version of this theory of mine, that theory being the Glitch was the main character of a show that was about to be pitched, however the original pilot got corrupted beyond repair, forcing the show to be dropped. Now the reason why I think it's a prototype of Pibby, or at the very least the protagonist of a kid's show, is because everyone that's been infected by it has a big smile on their faces, leaving me to believe the Static's show was supposed to teach kids happiness and how to spread positivity, with the assimilation it's doing being a much more corrupted and twisted version of its message. Now, why would it be doing this? Well going back to the corrupted pilot real quick, the Static saw all of these other more successful shows which caused it to grow envious because they managed to go off without the same hitch that caused the glitch's show to be cancelled. All of that hatred grew into the idea of ensuring that there was only one show in existence, THE GLITCH'S show, and once that happens, everyone from kids to adults will be forced to watch its show whether they like it or not. And it will soon attain the fame and recognition that it believes is rightfully theirs. And if people don't like it, well... then they'd better be prepared to see the shows they used to know and love get cancelled right in front of their eyes. So yeah, that's my theory, what do you guys think?
@@momoirokinshu2419 well that could be true, but the Static has been taking a TON of characters, not just BunBun. Although the reason why BunBun appears the way he does near the end of the trailer could be because 1) the Static is doing it as like some kind of taunt to Libby, like it's saying, "You said that you could keep him safe, and now look at what's happened to him." Or 2) going off of the Proto-Pibby portion of my theory, BunBun was most likely going to be the Static's best friend before the pilot got corrupted and it was replaced with Pibby, as if telling her "How does it feel knowing you're going to be killed by the hands of your best friend?" And you know, one possible scenario I can picture is the Static isolates Pibby from everyone else and explains its origin, before it gets to a point where the Static is pissed and says something like "This was supposed to be MY show, BunBun was supposed to be MY friend! And I will not stop until everything is mine. BunBun! (If the Static had a consistent form, this would be the moment it points at Pibby) Kill."

In my opinion; it’s innocence vs something that seeks to destroy it. Because cartoons are something that gives life to us as children, but over time because of us “ maturing “ we lose a sense of innocence and fun. So Pibby and gang fights against the bad side of maturing which is learning what violence is; but using it for good, and etc.
My Theory: The corruption isn't a being, with a mind of it's own. It is a force of nature, consuming the old to make way for the new. The only shows it seems to target are ones that have "died" or are no longer airing. Pibby's show must've just reached the end of it's run time, so everything in it was assimilated. And anything it misses, it will chase to the end of time until it catches them.

I have a few theories about what the glitch is. One of my favourites is the possibility the glitch is either an incomplete or broken entity trying to absorb everything to fix itself, or an entity absorbing everything to gain knowledge (hell, it could even be one of Pibby's friends we haven't met yet, terrorising the multiverse to do what they were made to do: learn)
I hope it explores the concept of each episode of every series is actually a different universe/continuity meaning that the main cast have been doing this for an eternity and that there is literally no ending because of that. EDIT: Can't wait for Uncle Grandpa to comeback as like some omnipresent being.
You make a pretty good point about the glitch. However, I have my own personal theory which could also be true : Somewhere in another universe, there's a Mickey mouse that is head of Disney. That same Mickey could have possibly created and sent the glitch to run cartoon network into the ground and beat the competition, which in this case is Warner Bros. (I know It sounds kinda far out but trust me, it makes at least a bit of sense, right?)
Actualy no, its not far out. We even see wallpaper for SpongeBob's show in the trailer and thats Nick another competator. Actualy anything related to Disney didn't even show (Due to not being able to get rights as it could harm thier reputation, or something deeper) inside thw trailer, so this could show trying to be the only one and using this as a way to ruin other shows or childhoodz and make only thier things good and not ruined pop-out.

This is interesting, I hope the glitch has an non cliche explanation other than rule of cool, and also that the show is an actual crossover. It seemed really ambitious from the trailer, I don't know if they can get all those rights.
Although if the characters are able to interact because they belong to the same pack, then they should still be able to crossover if they belong to the same service.
As a random thought, since Pibby seems to be the only character who is able to visit other shows, what if the darkness doesn't actually want to kill her and is only trying to scare her away so she runs to another show, allowing the glitch to follow her and consume her. It would be interesting if she realized that every time she runs she is dooming another universe.

I personally think the glitch represents corporatism and how tv networks turn good, passionate shows and turn them into cash cows. You can see this with how all the infected characters are smiling, as the networks rip away all personality and just replace it with mind-numbing "happiness" in order to win the appeal of as large an audience as possible.

Stephen Hillenburg wanted the first movie after season 3 to be the finale but the higher ups at Nickelodeon kept the show going to milk the franchise for as much money as possible. Maybe it could be nostalgia? Almost all the referenced shows had ended at this time and were shows that generations of children grew up with. Maybe the glitch came from us mourning the show and depends on the iconic characters to stay alive and, well, grow more? I think that was Jake Neutron's headcanon.

You know...im going to be honest. This show concept terrified me. I had a event happen to me as a kid that this show reawakened some deep fears. And, everyone was talking about it, which made it EXTREMELY hard to even glance at TH-cam or Twitter without seeing it.

I was watching a television, I think it was at a store (some stores like shoe stores had randomly placed, loose wired televisions placed around to keep kids entertained). At the time, I watched tv way too close to the screen. I think it had a vhs taping of nickelodeon or cartoon network, so my eyes were practically glued to the screen. Then, suddenly the screen flashed, and the cartoon I was watching was half there, half static. Character's eyes and mouths filled with static, parts of them gone while others distorted, while the audio broken, glitched out, and suddenly got louder. I jumped back, hit my head, and for some reason I looked back at the television. I guess my head hurt so much i didnt want to get up, but my eyes still locked on to it. I sat there, for the pain to go away before running off.
Unfortunately I can't remember all the details surrounding the event because I was so young. I think the vhs tape was damaged or something. I just remember the television.

I feel like I know how this show ends. Pibby sacrificing herself to stop the glitch. Pulling a why nobody remembers her show creepypasta. Also pibby having her eye taken and her fighting fate(if your theory is correct) is very reminiscent of odin in norse myth.
In my opinion, the Glitch is an example of tv channel overlords. When a show is created, and has run a certain amount of times, they toss it aside and treat it as if it hardly existed, with only parts of it showing what it once was. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what the show is portraying, and I'd be excited to see how it turns out.
Edit: Matpat should get on this so we can see his theory on what the glitch/virus is.

It's possible the glitch could represent something I like to call "content decay", which is when a form of art slowly but surely begins getting less accessible and thrown into obscurity. Like how a lot of old 70's and 80's anime ends up becoming lost footage or how video games start becoming harder to come across thanks to only being available on an old console that's too expensive to buy on the modern market.

I had a nightmare I was consumed by a black void with sparks of light in it once and seeing Pippy reopened that wound, I want more.
Pibby could actually go one step even further, and darker. The characters wont just be reborn into streaming, they cant. But they can get reboted to be able to. With streaming, binging is now possible, and shows are being made with that in mind. The 1 tiny mystery every episode of scooby doo just wont cut it on streaming. Instead, it could be changed to have big mysteries that last an entire season. But because these are new shows, the old ones have to die. The glitch makes shows worthy of streaming but can no longer exist on tv. Pibby will either die or just live on as the glitch stuck for all eterinty, while a new Pibby takes her place on streaming.

who is to say this hasn't already happened once? I mean, just look at Steven Universe or Adventure time. how both technically got reboots, throwing out what the old story was and making a new one, completely changing the characters both physically and mentally. again, because these shows are dead, meaning no one makes new episodes, they have to make reboots to keep the money train rolling.
With all of these shows dying that would have to mean that they would have to make a collaboration with all of these shows to show how they died and tell the viewers that they are dead and to wait for a reboot so they are restored to there original state but are able to make references to other shows.
What about cartoons that originated from streaming.

Interesstingly, I have two theorys on my own, about that glitch thing, and what it represents.
The first one, is actuall the complete opposit, of your explanation. That Pibby and all the other shows, are already on streaming platforms, and the glitch represents the power of the old ways/versions. It is a manifestation, of the kable and co. channels, that try despairtly to cling on the new versions, in order to stay alive. Like an rebelion, against the inevitable Evolution, that is happening in the media. That's why all the characters faces are frozen in a weird smile, since back in the old days, many of these Shows did bring us laughter and childish joy, and were mostly carefree and had an overall happy theme. The glitch tries to go back in that time, by freezing the laughing/smiling faces, of the characters, so that it will never be over, and lasting forever, ensuring its survival.
The second theory is, that the glitch represents all the scrapped shows, that never made it to the actuall board. All the abonded Shows, that are only known f.e. through pilot episodes, trailers, teasers or not at all, since they were not popular enough. And lets be honest, especially in the case of cartoon Network, there would be quite an amount of them. And now they're taking their revenge, by glitching into the more popular/new shows, to make the ones they think are responsible, suffer like they did.

Woah my gosh. Whether the horrors of this program have gotten better or worse with this theory, the world will definitely be changed by it.
I believe the "Glitch" to either be a... Decayed represantation of us, of our Nostalgia, trying it's hardest to preserve what it has loved, only to unknowingly corrupt what it had been trying to save.
However, another notion to consider is what the "Glitch" seems to be, as of yet, it seems to be some sort of sentient "Datamosh," which is basically a corrupted part of an image or video, if compared to real life, it could be similar to that of "False Vacuum Decay," a theoretical situation where it corrupts a spreading portion of reality itself in a cascade.
In a way, both are the same, to the Cartoons, "DataMosh" is their reality being stored wrong or damaged, whereas "False Vacuum Decay" is the same thing, in which a "Higgs Field" suddenly leaves it's state of "False Vacuum," causing it to trigger other "Higgs Fields" in a destructive cascade of energy, this cascade is what "False Vacuum Decay" is, however, due to what "Higgs Fields" do, Physics within the space that was consumed by the False Deca would change, corrupting reality.

Overall, the glitch for me is what we consider the end of certain memories as we knew it. In this case, they are cartoon network shows. And when the show ends, the memories of these shows still exist, but they have since been warped to a point that it is where they're merged in a mesh of sorts of what we call "old" or "dead" shows. Over time, the characters change and warp, losing their integrity as the memory of them is molded into this mesh of Cartoon Network influence before fading into obscurity.
This show may relate to the idea that shows, like people, die twice. First officially, then silently.

The Glitch is an entity that could represent either: Executives in the "Real World", a metaphor of pulling off shows from channels, and/or a 4th Wall Break that will be hinted at. That's my thoughts. Wow that was dark, but I don't think streaming are the end of cartoon time schedules because think of the services as a time machine it allows you see all your favorite cartoons either from the past or the future. Not to mention cartoon schedules will still be a thing no matter where you go because you still have to wait for the creators to make the new episode.
I like this theory a lot more than the standard Corporate Greed architype that things like this are associated with. It's why I also liked Gumbal's Void theory. Rather than it being a benevolent evil exploiting and reshaping the characters into shitty remakes and things like that, this is an erasure of a past tradition that we may never see the same way again as Icons get abducted and taken off the air forever, and get separated into their own isolated bubble, frozen in time for the rest of eternity as Pibby tells a story about how change is inevitable, and we can't always escape it, but we can make the most of it and continue on with out lives, fighting for both what we believe in and the friends we make along the way as the story may inevitably come to an end, it's our choice to decide how we get to it. Do we accept fate early on and give up? Do we try to run from it? Or do we fight it head on? And that's a choice everyone has to make.

What I think about the “Glitch” is that it’s about shows that have already ended and the void trying to get their souls out of the network. But the fans still want to bring them back. Seeing TV stuff come to an end is pretty heartbreaking. The last time I got to see a lot of my friends togther in one place consistantly, was when Samurai Jack was rebooted for that last season. We made a small party out of it, meeting up beforehand with food and drinks and hanging out, something there just isn't as much time to do nowadays.
It's actually true tv cartoons are starting to go and it's a bit sad since we got so attached to them that watching them go felt like your entire like flashed before your eyes

Since we're all sharing our theories on the Glitch, I may as well share mine. It may sound farfetched to some, but there is at least some possibility to it. I believe the Glitch is a corrupted form of a prototype version of Pibby. How and why do I think this? Well, this is mainly based on an earlier version of this theory of mine, that theory being the Glitch was the main character of a show that was about to be pitched, however the original pilot got corrupted beyond repair, forcing the show to be dropped. Now the reason why I think it's a prototype of Pibby, or at the very least the protagonist of a kid's show, is because everyone that's been infected by it has a big smile on their faces, leaving me to believe the Static's show was supposed to teach kids happiness and how to spread positivity, with the assimilation it's doing being a much more corrupted and twisted version of its message. Now, why would it be doing this? Well going back to the corrupted pilot real quick, the Static saw all of these other more successful shows which caused it to grow envious because they managed to go off without the same hitch that caused the glitch's show to be cancelled. All of that hatred grew into the idea of ensuring that there was only one show in existence, THE GLITCH'S show, and once that happens, everyone from kids to adults will be forced to watch its show whether they like it or not. And it will soon attain the fame and recognition that it believes is rightfully theirs. And if people don't like it, well... then they'd better be prepared to see the shows they used to know and love get cancelled right in front of their eyes. So yeah, that's my theory, what do you guys think?

@@momoirokinshu2419 well that could be true, but the Static has been taking a TON of characters, not just BunBun. Although the reason why BunBun appears the way he does near the end of the trailer could be because 1) the Static is doing it as like some kind of taunt to Libby, like it's saying, "You said that you could keep him safe, and now look at what's happened to him." Or 2) going off of the Proto-Pibby portion of my theory, BunBun was most likely going to be the Static's best friend before the pilot got corrupted and it was replaced with Pibby, as if telling her "How does it feel knowing you're going to be killed by the hands of your best friend?" And you know, one possible scenario I can picture is the Static isolates Pibby from everyone else and explains its origin, before it gets to a point where the Static is pissed and says something like "This was supposed to be MY show, BunBun was supposed to be MY friend! And I will not stop until everything is mine. BunBun! (If the Static had a consistent form, this would be the moment it points at Pibby) Kill."

Well, yeah.
It's harder to use cartoon characters from the present, and impossible to use them from the future... so far.
In my opinion; it’s innocence vs something that seeks to destroy it. Because cartoons are something that gives life to us as children, but over time because of us “ maturing “ we lose a sense of innocence and fun. So Pibby and gang fights against the bad side of maturing which is learning what violence is; but using it for good, and etc.

My Theory: The corruption isn't a being, with a mind of it's own. It is a force of nature, consuming the old to make way for the new. The only shows it seems to target are ones that have "died" or are no longer airing. Pibby's show must've just reached the end of it's run time, so everything in it was assimilated. And anything it misses, it will chase to the end of time until it catches them.

Damn, your idea for the ending of Pibby is honestly a really clever one and a great way to potentially end the show. Whenever Pibby comes, whatever way it ends. I think it'll be a damn good show.

I have a few theories about what the glitch is. One of my favourites is the possibility the glitch is either an incomplete or broken entity trying to absorb everything to fix itself, or an entity absorbing everything to gain knowledge (hell, it could even be one of Pibby's friends we haven't met yet, terrorising the multiverse to do what they were made to do: learn)
I hope it explores the concept of each episode of every series is actually a different universe/continuity meaning that the main cast have been doing this for an eternity and that there is literally no ending because of that.
EDIT: Can't wait for Uncle Grandpa to comeback as like some omnipresent being.

You make a pretty good point about the glitch. However, I have my own personal theory which could also be true :
Somewhere in another universe, there's a Mickey mouse that is head of Disney.
That same Mickey could have possibly created and sent the glitch to run cartoon network into the ground and beat the competition, which in this case is Warner Bros.
(I know It sounds kinda far out but trust me, it makes at least a bit of sense, right?)
Actualy no, its not far out. We even see wallpaper for SpongeBob's show in the trailer and thats Nick another competator. Actualy anything related to Disney didn't even show (Due to not being able to get rights as it could harm thier reputation, or something deeper) inside thw trailer, so this could show trying to be the only one and using this as a way to ruin other shows or childhoodz and make only thier things good and not ruined pop-out.
Maybe the defeat the glitch but it’s death destroys the whole tv block of cn but pibby vents all the other characters into streaming services they all wake up in their specific shows and pibby accepts that they needed to change and with bun bun saved and the cartoon multiverse affectively preserved she officially is considered the most badass cartoon characters in the multiverse
