Her dance moves are so smooth yet so powerful. This is quite different from Eclipse, but both are strong choreos that she easily nailed. This one has more emotions and mixed feelings about absence in one dance. Idk how to explain this but I'm just saying it's quite different from what she used to danced before but still friggin amazing.
Moonbyul is a complete artist, in every sense. Imagine she wrote this song after watching Drama , she shows us her voice , her dance , her concept , her lyrics , her melodic rap . After watching this again after a while, it suddenly struck me just how much musicality there is to Moonbyul's movement. They are not just rhythmic or 'on beat', they express the emotions of the music, and feel almost poetic to watch. I don't know much about dancing, but in any given day, I'll definitely pick this over a powerful choreography that doesn't speak to me.
0:19-0:43 Take the opening seated sequence for example. Even the littlest details, like the hand falling at 0:31 and the slight clasping of fingers at the 0:37 ish second, are perfectly timed. Moonbyul's attention to detail is one of the things I like the most about her as an artist
Her controlled and micro movement is top notch. If you watch her dance to Synopsis (on her yt channel) it has similar vibe to Absence's choreo. Lots of micro and controlled movement and lyrical expression.

Damn, exactly my thoughts. Her vocal color fits this chrous perfectly. It's so good. And moonbyul really grow a lot in music perspective over the last 1-2 years. From having nearly no singing line, to having like 2-3 singing line near Starry night era, to Ten Nights and Hello Mama, then her solo and now this. Watching this perf video i feel really proud and happy for her. Also she developed her own style naturally which is excellent.
Fun fact she actually audditioned as a vocalist but the compagny tought with her voice shed suited the rapper position.. and she discovered how much they were right and liked it.. but as i assume as a soloist she want to show the fans that shes a triple threat musically..(rap,dance,hit them high notes aka sing) 🤗

I'm not surprised but I'm honestly amazed on her vocal development through the years. I always noticed how she was not really confident in singing as first. I felt that it was a shame to hide her singing voice since she originally trained to be a vocalist. But rn, this song shows so much of her singing voice and it's so good. Mamamoo really are 4 main vocalists, 4 main dancers with their own styles, and 4 very talented women that show their power in the kpop industry. I'm glad that I found them.

I love watching moonbyul dance. Her movements are so fluid and tranquil. It's mesmerizing to watch her dance. Like, she seems so peaceful in her movements, instead of strung up or constrained. Like if you compare her to the dancers in the back, the people in the background have calculated and precise movements, whereas moonbyul seems to go with the flow.
I'm not a mamamoo fan (entirely) so can one of you tell me if she always dances like this, or is it just in this particular song?
She always dances like this 😊👍 Check Iljido and Love & Hate performances to see her dancing more! She always has this kind of fluidity! (Btw both excellent solo songs from her)
I just wanted to mention something, the MV starts off as black & white with a bit of a haze, even her dress has no color, (from 0:00-1:39). This depicts sadness & loneliness, probably when she lost her love for the 1st time. After that colors are beginning to show up slowly, we can now see the color of her dress but they are faint (from 1:44-2:10), this part tells us how she tried to move on with life. But there is still a bit of haze in the back and lights are moving at random making you blind, we see Byul sitting on the stairs confused (from 2:11-3:03). By the end of the video, the real colors are fully back, which depicts Byul has recovered and finally moving forward in life, that is the present time. The colors are prominent than before and no random light flashes.
We all knew this song was about two lovers and some parts of the song probably depict Byul's early life but the way she told the story in this video, my goodness🤩🤩. Her mind is so beautiful, I always liked her way of expressing music. I have so much respect for this woman🥰.

The thing i love about this song is it's so RAW and AUTHENTIC. Nothing super fancy in the MV. No super fancy clothes. It's just her amazing vocals, her graceful dancing, and her genuine emotions.
This song doesn't need anything else but more views. Lol. It's so good on itself. The lyrics and the melody is perfect, the choreography goes well with the song, it's like telling us a story. And the feels, man. The emotions get to you, the interlude part feels like a stab in the heart. Sounds like a good OST for a drama or a movie honestly.

Hence it's an essential way of support and lol it doesn't even require money. We said the same thing last time during Eclipse, that kind of mentality didn't do any good. That attitude needs to change

But "Eclips" is a bit hard to win because rivals used to be tough (GFRIEND, etc) as well as the concept is still rare for the girl group group. But hey, don't push yourself too much.
In this song Moonbyul is more like "giving" new songs to fans, and also she does not promote anywhere.
