Hey girl I was in your class in a different pod, and I’m so proud of what we have accomplished cause it was A LOT! I’m based in SFO and I start my IOE soon but I hope to see you on the line!
Ayee I'm from Maryland too ✨ and if I graduate training from skywest chicago will be my top pick out of the choices. I'm going through your videos so it'll be nice to see how someone frome MD navigated and I'll see if you ever commuted how that was 👍🏾
I took your airline from SFO to LAX under American Eagle and from Salt Lake City to Albuquerque round trip on Delta Connection. I know your airline is also under Alaska and United and is the largest regional carrier in North America.
I go to training next month (may 24th) and I live in Dallas right now BUT It is possible they will send me somewhere that’s where they send new hires right? Where do I find the trend for going on right now to make my list good? And to be informed!? Thank you!!
Yea they probably will but most bases are having a lot of movement so you may get Dallas really soon after training if that’s where you wanna go. Check out some of the Facebook groups! They are super helpful and have a lot of info
Can you provide a link for the list of popular domicile ranking? I haven't been able to find anything. My training will start April 5th, super excited!
Congrats on training! I just went to the website and looked at the domiciles and wrote them out myself in my personal order. I also did a little research on the ones I was really interested in.
You say in the video that you did your research about where they were sending new hires the year before. How did you go about finding that info? My searches have yielded zero results so far.
So I have training in oct but I have a current lease agreement that ends in feb 2023 and I don’t know how my living lifestyle will be any help you can provide ?
so when applying it says denver flight attendant which is where i live. i would definitely love to be based here since i live here. is that up to them even though they’re specifically hiring for this airport?
Hey! When I finished training they weren’t (I don’t think) sending ppl to dtw but since then they have sent a lot of new hires to Detroit so it’s definitely an option!
So when you finish training you go home then are there until you get IOE then move to your domicile? I am starting training in April and am so confused about the whole order of things haha
So you finish training, go home and wait for your IOE date if you already know your domicile. For me I finished training, went home, waited a week for my domicile, then waiting for my IOE date. Once I got my IOE date I moved to base.
I saved a lot from my other job so I didn't work while I was waiting for IOE. No, you wont start getting pay until IOE is successfully completed. You do get paid for IOE on the which ever pay period it falls on.
If you cant make it to work because of a commuting issue it can be a cause of termination, especially while on probation. Some airlines have policies in place where if you have a commuting issue you will not be penalized because of it. @@mariamendez7640

Yesss! It was alot! but good luck on your IOE!! I hope we can fly together one day.
I hope you're enjoying SkyWest! Such a great company to work for! Definitely enjoyed my time there, specially being ORD based like yourself!

Chicago is my number 1, and I graduate tomorrow!! Hopefully I’ll see you on the line💙
Congratulations! 🎉
I have my SkyWest group interview today!!! Loving your page ❤
Hope it went well!

Congratulations Moo!!! So proud of you! Ohhh and send me some pizza, I love me some Chicago deep dish 😋
congrats on getting ur domicile! we'll miss u in MD
Thank you!
How do they consider your seniority when assigning bases?
Cold winters! 😂 Blizzards!
SHE NEEDS MORE LIKES PLEASE! THANKS
So, how do they consider your seniority for assigning bases ? It’s it based on your last name? Age ?

Anyone here just did the virtual final interview lately? How long do we need to wait for the result?❤
You probably know by now, but It took me 3 days to find out.
How long did it take you to move to Chicago. Where did you find your crash pad or housing? Any helpful websites?
It was a 13 hour drive, I actually just posted a video about the trip. I went with a crash pad and I'll be posting about that whole process soon! :)
Yay! Domicile placement!
Love this video! Do they have Atlanta as an option?
Yes
You say in the video that you did your research about where they were sending new hires the year before. How did you go about finding that info? My searches have yielded zero results so far.
A facebook group, they were sharing where classes before were going
So I have training in oct but I have a current lease agreement that ends in feb 2023 and I don’t know how my living lifestyle will be any help you can provide ?
I’m super late! Sorry, but it all depends on what you used to make, and you’re lifestyle
Hiii, how did you figure out where they were sending new hires?
Thanks for all the information super helpful just had my online interview!
We found out our bases about a week after we left training. They send out a list to your email and you can see where everyone in your class goes
so when applying it says denver flight attendant which is where i live. i would definitely love to be based here since i live here. is that up to them even though they’re specifically hiring for this airport?
Yes and no. You'll get to make your "wish list" but ultimately you will be given a domicile based on company need, and seniority.
Hey! So I saw that DTW is one of their domiciles but you didn’t mention it. Do you know how hard it is to get assigned to that particular domicile?
My apologies, I’m asking because I start training with them at the end of March and being near Detroit for the first year would be ideal lol
Hey! When I finished training they weren’t (I don’t think) sending ppl to dtw but since then they have sent a lot of new hires to Detroit so it’s definitely an option!

Im sorry what is IOE?
Where did you go the week before getting your domicile assignment?
After training you go back home.
What did you do for income between graduation and your IOE? Are you still getting reserve pay?
I saved a lot from my other job so I didn't work while I was waiting for IOE. No, you wont start getting pay until IOE is successfully completed. You do get paid for IOE on the which ever pay period it falls on.
Nice video. How do you get seniority in FA training?
its usually based on age or some other factor in training. once out of training you gain seniority when new people join the company
@@BeingE Thank you. That's good to know.
are u still with skywest? how u been liking it??
Loved it there, but Im no longer with them.
So who are you with now?
Congrats
How did you have seniority in your class? Is it based on age?
No in class it was based on the last 4 of our social i believe.. lol it was some time ago tho so dont quote me lol
I’ve been binge watching all your videos congratulations on being a flight attendant I pray I’m next up
You got it girl!
How is seniority determined when you are a new hire?
It's based on your date of hire and the last 4 of your social
@@BeingE is the date of hire the day you go to training or the day you graduate?
Sooooo did you stay at crash pads or?
i did
What are your thoughts of forth worth Tx
I've never been
Don’t sell your house in Maryland rent it
Did anyone in your class get sent to Seattle ?
No, the bases we got were SFO, DEN, ORD, BOI, & MSP
@@BeingE dang it 🥲 I hope they send me to SEA 😓
@@versacebby you'll love Seattle! That's my hometown. 🤗
@@BeingE Is Detroit considered a Sr base?
Can you commute to your base?
My company doesn't advise commuting within your first year, however if I wanted to commute later down the line I would be able to.
Do they hire FA with braces?
Yes they do.
Can you commute?
Not while on probation, also there's no commuter policy
Could you please explain me a little more about that
If you cant make it to work because of a commuting issue it can be a cause of termination, especially while on probation. Some airlines have policies in place where if you have a commuting issue you will not be penalized because of it. @@mariamendez7640
Chicago? Nop, thank you.
They based my whole class in SLC😭🥲
oh wow 😭
