Hi mate 👋 Thank you very much 🙏🏻. Yeah I think the deluxe is priced really good for what you get and the quality of it too. It’s very deep but in a quick and accessible way
One of your more mellow dark ambient ones for sure. Enjoyed some nice short tranquil moments there and transitioned masterfully back in to the gutter :D haha congrats on another varied piece bro excellent stuff
What a Hydra journey! Especially love the use of the ribbon strip.... Was feeling some dark "Dune" vibes a couple times, which is great as I have been reading the books lately... Awesome job again Rick!
Hi mate! Thanks so much for checking out this video as well as the other two in one session 🙏💅 Yeah I love using that ribbon for pitch or Theremin mode, definitely adds a deeper emotional quality, especially when I use it slowly and subtle for drone bombing... Thanks mate... I adore film score music as you'll probably know and that's my dream to score for movies... so I'm happy with your thoughts on this.

Hello Nian! 🙏🏻❤ Thank you so much and a big thanks for continuing to come back to my channel 😊 Yes I adore the Hydra, it’s so deep and the amount of modulation you can setup is great… I’m still paying it off, but it’s worth it… I recon you both could do some serious damage with one of them 😉 I’m very pleased that you get your own cinematic vision with this performance… that’s one of my aims for people to go on their own journey… deeper the better too 👌 (Right off I go to listen properly to your latest video again today) 💎

@@niancanardworks Hey up Nian 😁 well if we ever cross paths then you’d be welcome to have a try / borrow my Hydra 😎 Yeah I came to synths from a similar polyphonic background too, I used to play lead guitar and keyboard/piano in a band back in 1999 to 2007. When I started getting interested in synths in 2020, I saw mono synths and thought “what’s the bloody point in that, only one note at a time”… 😂 how truly naive I was. I bought the Behringer 2600 which as you’ll know is mono… and it’s maybe my favourite out of all that I have… maybe only beat by the Hydra. 😂 That’s ace about the sesh in Juno… was it some moody bugger only bothered about £? 🤣 Yeah filming a session in there would make a good video… Yes I agree with you completely about watching the videos of who we follow… it’s a great community isn’t it. It’s a long game for me and I imagine for you two as well. Let’s help each other out where we can and it’s happy days ☀️🙏🏻💎
@@rickhopkinson That's so nice of you. I am sure we will cross paths eventually! Our field can feel like the size of a peanut, and eventually, everyone will know each other, if not at least because of the love for music. The same way, if you're ever around London, get in touch. We can always have a little jam with a guitar and feed it into modular. I love mono synths too; they're actually my favorite. I don't think I'll be getting any more of those, but every now and then, I look at the AnalogFX Ser2020, and I just love that thing. The fact that it's MPE compatible is just the cherry on top. There isn't much about it anywhere, but we tried it last year in Schneidersladen, and I just wanted to take it with me. Once we have a bit more following, I'll contact Juno and see if it can be a possibility to do a session there and just use whatever they have in the showroom. I do agree it's about the long game and staying true to ourselves, enjoying the process because we're pushing and learning about our gear every day. We need to put the time into it if we want something more or to master an instrument. Let's keep at it! Cheers!😎

For now once nearly paid off the Hydra, so then it’s the GR-Mega and/or the Solar 42. Patience I keep telling myself haha. Yep, I totally agree with you, marathon mode, and perseverance and let’s keep going. Let’s both be doing this still in 25 years or more! 👌 and have met a few times and jammed and even collaborated many times 💥🔥
