Glad to see you're back. Always enjoy your videos. The supermarket rack world does get in your blood, I know. I left and went back twice in my career and wound up putting in 44 years, then retired!! Keep on learning and doing and please keep up the great videos. Good luck.
ROFL, yeah. Fully understand that there are certain things you enjoy and want to stick with it. Good to see content coming back though. Missed seeing you on here. For the insulation get you an old wool blanket. Give it a quick dunk and nothing to worry about. You can easily cut off a 6X6 or 12X12 piece and toss it in the bag or the van for whatever. Keep them dry and can use as a quick sweat rag as well. Need something kept from burning and you CAN use it dry but the smell sucks when you hit it with heat so better to be damp.
@@rookierefrigeration4357 na man the first video i saw on that construction site with the mini splits you looked very unimpressed and sadly like the rest of us market guys we CRAVE racks lol. But I would watch and support you what ever name or badge you wear in the end we ALL wear the same tag market refrigeration techs don't matter what name is on your shirt.
Yeah, I miss it every day. And... I’ve left sunglasses and pocket Schraeder tools behind the Walk-Ins in every store in Las Vegas. Glad to see you back in the game.
Lay a couple wet Towels or rags on the insulation to protect it from torch. I use a 1 gallon bucket 1/2 full of water & Throw a Few rags in there. I also use wet towels to protect lots of other surfaces. Roofs , attics Etc.
( Ftngot ) For the new guys out there - Allways make sure to have the solenoid manual open screwed all the way in to make sure it’s open during welding in process. Trapping gas on either side makes for leaks which is no good.
when i did changes like this solenoid,i would isolate valve and cut valve out with tube cutter.on one call ,i was unsweating valve and when it breke free there was oil present.flames galore.got it out thankfully.got to be careful..welcome back .good luck
So you're with a new company who does Rack and Commercial HVAC? To be honest, we all have a specialty, we all have the capability of doing other portions of the field, but we have that specific one we love. For me, that's commercial HVAC, I just love doing the work, and the pay is amazing. Currently in a residential company since I needed work, and I remember why I don't like it lol. Only for side work, though the owner did say he is gonna expand to commercial more, so I'm curious to see where this goes. If not, back to straight commercial I go! Great video bro!
The career you are good at is like your child you just can't leave it trust me I know the feeling but I make Property Management beautiful sometimes LOL Keep On Keepin On
Good to hear from you again. I didn't even know you had left supermarket refrigeration because it has just been a long time since I tuned in. We all go through change periods in life. I've been going through mine...I see your old girlfriend (refrigeration) knew exactly what to do to get you back. Lol!. It must be her irresistible cooking. Lmao...Take care.
Good to see you back Rookie . Yeahh I tried to stay doing A/C for some time , but it did work for me either . Is like you’re missing something after you have worked in refrigeration . Is like working on A/C units VRF,VRV, units gets boring my boiiii . Saludos from SoCal 818 to be specific 💪🏼!!!
Eyy you found your calling haha at least you can say you tried other routes within the trade. Only thing left for you is residential lol and marine refrigeration
It happens to thw best of us. Work 30+hours straight and mistakes happen. I miss refrigeration supermarket too. I dont miss thr hours though. Stay safe bro
Good find ! So , I guess your back with your old company ? As long as your happy at work. That’s all that counts. Being miserable at work is not healthy. Merry Christmas rook ! 🌴🧊
I’ve been going HVAC for 31 years in the Union. I face retirement soon. This trade is my mistress. Because I’ve enjoyed it so much but I can never take her home and talk to my wife about her. Lmao I must say the last guy that welded the joint and left the snot look on the elbow. As us Latino would say “ Ese un chingadera”.
I miss the racks troubleshooting but if it wasn't OT l would be still in a supermarket world. I realize that as you get older for me life is too short I enjoying not working as hard & all night.
are you with the same company u were with before u left, or is this a new gig with the rac? r u doing lots of hours like b4 or have they trimmed some hours off to make ur wifey happY? Good to see you back. You always showing good content with honest work. Keep the vids coming. 2 thumbs up./
@@rookierefrigeration4357 what I mean is, do you find working on rack systems comes easy for you, doesn’t require a lot of crawling around in attics... what was it you found in your experience.
