World Rally: Championship Arcade

Once in your car you must complete stages against the clock and try to get a faster time than all your competitors.
You have a selection of four courses with three stages, each course harder than the last one and you can only choose the first two.
Each course has varying road conditions from tarmac, dirt and snow. There is even night stages with restricted views.
Each race is shown from a isometric view and you have 60 seconds to complete the stage. Go over the 60 seconds and it's game over.
Get a time under and a leader board is shown with your stage position and overall course position.
During a race an arrow appears to show you the next bend ahead. As each race progresses the arrow gets longer with more bends on it.
A warning arrow can also appear showing any obstacles ahead ranging from logs, trucks and bridges.
On top of the screen there is a bar which shows your time. If the bar is green then you are on course to finish under 60 seconds.
If any part turns red then you are on course to finish over 60 seconds. Also on top of the screen is your score, the clock and your speed.

World Rally is a 1993 racing arcade video game developed by Zigurat Software and published by Gaelco in Spain, Sigma in Japan and Atari Games in North America. Themed around rallying, the game pit players with races across various locations under a short time limit to qualify for the next couse.
World Rally was developed over the course of two years by most of the same team of previous works at Zigurat Software such as Carlos Sainz: World Rally Championship, initially intended to be a racing game about the World Rally Championship featuring Spanish rally driver Carlos Sainz before he changed teams from Toyota to Lancia, prompting the staff drop Sainz' likeness from the project before launch.
