I already knew you were gonna enjoy the album, but it makes me so happy to see you love these songs. Tbh, Seventeen became my ult group because of their discography, and it blows my mind that each album just keeps getting better and better and it's never the same. I also feel like this last album showed a more mature side of them and I love it... I truly can't wait for whatever they have prepared for this year.
I actually am fonder to their older albums contrary to some of the comments here, i think most people in carat twt would agree with me as well. Seventeens newer songs has an amazing charm but there is just something about seventeen's older album and woozi's younger writing that are so raw and distinctively seventeen. You'll know when you start listening to the love&letter repackaged album, its a cult favorite for a reason.
sooo glad you enjoyed the album so much!! 💗 it's really the aoty for me. i love how fire/sun are such central 'themes' in the songs and then it ends with ash where they burn everything down, transform, and enter a new era/world - and then the repackage title is _world ✨ yes svt have really great albums and bsides, their recent ones especially have imo just been stellar. they do a big variety of genres and challenge themselves to try something new every time, so there'll be plenty of surprises. that being said, their rookie era bsides are pretty different! it's best if you just see for yourself
I don't want to put them on the pedestal, but from their early albums to the current one, they get *progressively* good. I don't enjoy the old albums as much as the newer ones, but that's maybe because the new songs are insanely good. Their old songs has the fresh and cute vibes like Adore U, Mansae, and Pretty U, which is their original sound from debut (but there are also gems in there that I won't spoil). Their newer albums has a fiercer, much intense vibes, but still feel good such as those in Attacca and Semi;colon.
I have this thing I do when I love an artist, k pop, western or otherwise, where I set up Playlists of all their songs and I rank them based on personal preference as a fun way of learning their discography... on my svt Playlist of approximately 130+ songs, there are only 6 I consider "skips"... we all have biases and songs we prefer and vibe with, thats how art works, but svt have been producing hits since the beginning, and have one of, if not the most, consistent discographies in kpop. In my opinion, of course, there's always room for (polite) debate haha 😄
I think SVT album has a distinct genre/sound each time depends on what they exploring at the moment. So when you feel clicked with the genre usually you will love the whole album. For me it's still Teen, Age album that I adore so much 😊 have fun exploring svt discographies
I love A LOOOOOOOOOTTTTT of SVT's songs (from the older albums to this one). This is quite a feat. It depends on my mood which songs I want to listen to, I feel they cater to my different moods perfectly. They have provided different playlists on their official channel and I listen to these depending on my mood. Plus their dance practice videos are chef's kiss. I'm not a dancer and I'm bad at dancing, but I always ENJOYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Seventeen's dance practice videos SO much.
they have a pretty great discography. i actually am not that huge a fan of Face The Sun tbh, i love a couple of older albums more but FTS is really a very, very solid album. Heng:garae & Going Seventeen, for me at least, are their best albums so far. Very glad to see how much you enjoyed this though & very excited for you to discover more of their music 🫶🏼

Their earliest albums (17 Carat, Boys Be) are a bit rough around the edges : they were younger, not as mature musically and lyrically, and they didn't have the funds to give every song high production values so some of them definitely feel "lower quality" production wise. But you can already see the potential and there's 1 or 2 bsides that still stick out as good. They had a big jump in production quality in 2016 for Love&Letter (they had more money after a successful debut year) and another big jump between that and their 3rd mini Going Seventeen. After that the production quality stays consistent and you can just follow the journey of them maturing and experiencing new things.

Seventeen album was so interesting. Each album have their own theme and all the songs fit the theme so well.
