The best way to learn is to put pencil/paint to paper, because it lets you explore and experiment and figure out your own methods

    • @GoVocaloider
      @GoVocaloider 4 ปีที่แล้ว +40

Good observation! The blobs of colour are because he is establishing the big, overall shapes and colours in the scene. (This is easy enough to find if you squint at your reference - squinting allows you to focus on the general things and not the details.) After that, he slowly builds in more and more detail into the initial shapes and colours.
By doing it in this method, it helps him not only create a good composition for the picture but also allows the colours in the picture to be more accurate as he starts adding in the details (as the colours of those objects will be affected by the colours of their surrounding environment - just as in real life).
As for becoming a good painter, you're on the right path - watching and learning from others is a great way to add to your own skillset. Props to you, as a fellow artist.

    I FOUND YOU AGAIN, FINALLY.
Just wanted to come back and appreciate it again, through the video the first time I watched it this is what I saw:
A canyon with houses on the edge 0:40
    A fabella (?, multicolored houses 1:19
    A cozy kitchen 1:40
A house with those conversation pits from the 90's and early 2000's 1:53
An hotel room with a piano 2:06
An hotel reception room with a piano 2:57 - 4:42
    A lounge bar 5:00
    A restaurant 7:30
    Then the magnificent cafe. 8:38

The amount of talent, effort and precision it took for this beautiful art is charasmatic. I know your boys are proud of you. I am, wholeheartedly. Good luck my friend! May the path towards your dreams be a kind one.

What I find fascinating from your creative process is that, at any point of this video, the frame is an art piece itself. Take the first minutes, for example, with only colourful rectangles... Just gorgeous.

can't describe my thoughts on this.
    it's more than extraordinary
saying it's pure perfection is not enough.
I just love your work and I want to learn how to do this.
