Painting with a knife sets out to express simultaneously the form, content and all which is linked to this : shade, light, colour nuances etc...

I would guesstimate he used over $100.worth of oil paint on just this one painting. Incredible technique and talent. His enormous pallet alone would take up most of my painting room! LOL.

Everything about this video, from the music to the gentle flow of the paint, is so amazingly uplifting, relaxing and tranquil..The joys of watching a master at work. A breath of fresh air ending with a sigh of complete contentment.
I m trying to paint as he does but for me everything is more difficult.
When I was a kid my big problem with painting was painting a tree with leaves one by one. Now everything is just suggested. It’s up to the beholder to know. But I like it.
Artificial intelligence as well as the joy of the painter can't even make that picture.
I used to paint a little when I was young. Then life's stiff arm send me in opposite directions. But when I see an Artist like Mr. Jequel it blows my mind, and even tears scape from my eyes, I miss painting and I love the art of Mr Jequel he's a truly classic painter on the making !!

This artist should get the Nobel prize for inventing a whole new technique in painting! He is greater than many old masters!
Many old masters used knives, off set shaped, even a course single haired brush. It's not a new type of tool . But, on you tube he is sharing his talent with many who have never watched how creative you can be using this one. Amazing work with amazing results which must have taken a long time to learn.

Magnificent. I’ve been painting for 4 yrs now after a stroke September 2015 n just learning from TH-cam. I would love to paint with just a palette knife on a large canvas. I love how MAGIC presents itself.
It is very illuminating to watch the process by which this painting has been created. I am a novice in the use of a palette knife but this has really encouraged me to get on and use the knives I've had in my painting kit for so long!
