@dusenberg As I recall, (this was shot in 1998 you realize) this truck had a 5 spd main box and a 3 spd auxiliary trans. So, 15 forward speeds and once you're rolling you can certainly shift without the clutch.
@bullyfrog08 You probably already have, but check out all of his videos. He gets these alternating interior and exterior shots on all of his videos and they're all of cool old trucks.
The 5's and 3's were always a good thing, unless it was 2 --4 speeds. I still miss those a lot, kids now days wpould have to call in sick if they were given one. Beautiful restore job on this nice old girl.
There is a clutch. its dark on that side but it is there. You dont typically use the clutch for anything other than starting the truck off from a start. and when you come to a complete stop. So you drive by matching engine speed to transmission speed
@dusenberg He's power shifting he useing the throtal to do the clutches job.Your not really suppose to do that the law says the truck is out of control when you are power shifting but thats just bull
If most of the sissies today who are use to driving automatic transmission equipped straight axel trucks had to navigate an old manual tranny rig like this they would curl up in the fetal position and cry for mommy. It took something to know how to handle these old rigs. Good vid.

@longroadpro while i was watching this, luke said that the top speed of the truck is 62 mph.
