If you are after working timetables for the Class 730 on the Cross City Line, it is included in the video! They will be the same diagrams for the next 2 weeks.
I definitely like the look of both the interior and exterior on the new 730's! I'll have to get down to the Midlands at some point to try them out. It'll mean more 323's for Northern. Great video, Simon!
its nice to see the 730s now entering service on the Cross city line & the 730s are amazing & i got to try one out when i had a week in the West Midlands at the end of Febuary well i rode 2 1 during the evening rush hour from Birmingham to Wolverhampton & as it was busy with standing room only there was planty of room for standing passengers & a few day later took the opportunity to ride another one from Wolverhampton to Birmingham which i was sucsessfull in getting a seat all the way to Birmingham & the seats are confortable & i love the 730a they get a thumbs up from me awesome vlog Reply
Great Video Cyber! Indeed the 730s have huge shoes to fill as the 323s are God Tier Traction and are adored by many train enthusiasts and passengers. I'm sure the LNWR or WMR 730s will take over the 350s on the Rugeley diagrams
A great video Simon, I'm travelling down to Walsall next week ,so hopefully I'll be able to nab a ride on a 730😊😊😊.it's also great because Northern will be getting more 323,s from WMR. Thank you for uploading this 😊😊
Brilliant video Cyber, I've been on plenty of 323's on the Cross City line and I can indeed confirm that the 730's have huge holes to fill. The 730's are nice trains though although I wonder why there's no door close button on them lol. :D
I have to say that the new Class 730/0 are quite nice trains. Nice to see them in service on the Cross-City Line. Hopefully more of them will be in service in the upcoming weeks and months ahead.
The Class 323 will surely be missed on the Cross-City Line but I do like the Class 730/0 and London Northwestern Railway should introduce their 5-Car Class 730/2 sometime later this year.
The 3+2 seating on the class 323 trains absolutely do not work. Nobody wants to sit in the middle seat so on busy trains that seat is often left empty or with a bag on them, whilst people stand in the over crowded aisle Prefer the seating on the 730 as the 323s are over crowded at rush hour, a lot of the time not everybody who wants to get on the train can get on them. The 730 having a much bigger passenger capacity than the 323.
I've been on Class 323s in the past and see people do use the middle seat in rush hour, I'm not saying it for the hell of it, I'm saying it because I have see this with my own eyes in person. But you do make some valid points and sometimes they are often left empty or people put their bags on the middle seat and agree that the Class 730 do have a bigger passenger capacity, there is proof of that in the video, Class 730 seating capacity which is less than a Class 323 and the Class 730 Standing Capacity which is more than a Class 323, which you can have 300 plus people standing and that is reason why the Class 730 have a bigger capacity, more standing space

Class 323s are awesome trains, God Tier just me saying they're awesome but on a Class 323, can only walk down 3 carriage as there no connection to the other 3 coaches, Class 730s do have that luxury as you can walk down through all six coaches.
If you are after working timetables for the Class 730 on the Cross City Line, it is included in the video! They will be the same diagrams for the next 2 weeks.
thanks for this! am on a 730 now at Bromsgrove to Lichers ❤
Good video Simon. Good to see the 730s on the Coss City Line.

Fun vlog! Will be seeing those 323s up here soon then 😂
Thanks G and yes you will be seeing them soon.
Fantastic Video. Well Done.
Thank you very much!
Great vlog on the 730s on the CrossCityLine Simon, the days of the 323s in the West Midlands are definitely numbered then.
Great video Simon!! This is now goodbye to the old trains and hello to the new trains
It is sadly even know the Class 323s have been on the Cross City Line for decades, will be missed
At least they won't be sent to scrap
@@Sim0nTrainswhy can’t we have both? 🤷♂️
I'd rather goodbye new back to the old lol
Great video Simon
Great video Simon!
I'm impressed with the 730's, both interior & exterior. 👍🙂

Cool video. Glad you got to see the start of the transition period on the Cross City Line.

Great video! Its sad to see 323s go however I'm sure the 730s will serve Birmingham well for decades to come
Great video mate
Thank you
They sound nice and smooth
Great video.
The acceleration seems quite slow compared to them testing on the WCML. Shame to see the 323s go. One of my favourites.
great video! :)
Thank you
Brilliant mate video
Thank you
Lovely 😍 😍
It lovely to see the Class 730s
@@Sim0nTrains I agree nice colour
Fantastic video
Thank you
very informative vid nice one cyber!
Thank you
Just seen these at Bromsgrove for the first time earlier today. Stunning new trains 👀
It's going to be an end of an era when the 730s take over from the 323s on the Cross City line after almost 30 years
It will be sadly :( But some will carry on working for Northern
I’ll be next to try and ride these units
Hope you enjoy the ride
@@Sim0nTrainsI hope so and so do you
Hi Simon Another good video, when are the Silver/Green units being deployed anytime soon ? Thanks
Thanks Peter, not sure when the LNR ones will be in service but could be later this year or 2025
Never a fan of 3+2 seating but I am 6ft2! The new trains do look good - don’t make such a fun noise when setting off though!
Already seen the ex wmr 323s on northern, love a 323 🎉
Gonna miss the 323s
Donde se fabrican esos trenes ? Muy buen video . Saludos desde Buenos Aires Argentina

Are the 323s still running frequently? As I am planning a special on my other TH-cam channel and I can only go on Sunday 😅.
Yes, there plenty of Class 323s will running at the moment as there only one Class 730 diagram, Class 323s will be phased out by Autumn
Thank you
Your channel is great I’ve been watching for around 2 years and I love you older videos from around 2011 and 2010.
Great vid Simon! The diagrams really helped me! Right when I leave Birmingham these trains enter the cross city line! A random question:
What is the date the final 323 will run? I definitely know what to expect when I ride these trains!
Thanks, there no date when the final Class 323 will leave the Cross City Line, by Autumn it will be 100% Class 730s
Do you know when they are in service fully
By Autumn the Cross City Line will be 100% Class 730s, Class 323s are being phased out between Spring (now) and Summer
Nice video Si! Will they be running on weekends on Cross City? Wanna try get some this or next weekend!
Thank you, not sure if they be running them on the weekend.
How did you find the diagrams
Honestly, Facebook, I asked around in Facebook groups called 'The Class 323 and 730/0 Electric Multiple Unit Group' and asked in there and managed to find them
Do the 730's accelerate quicker than the 323's? 🤔
I was planning a short of a Class 730 Vs Class 323 Departure but by the looks, think the Class 730 are slightly slower
What do you mean by air line seats?
They're the seats that don't have a table
@@Sim0nTrains thanks
Are the 323s still on the line at the moment?
Yes, all be phased out by Autumn
Ah ok thanks
323 what do you mean by god tier? 😊 and can you walk the way down the carriages?
Class 323s are awesome trains, God Tier just me saying they're awesome but on a Class 323, can only walk down 3 carriage as there no connection to the other 3 coaches, Class 730s do have that luxury as you can walk down through all six coaches.

Hey simon. What camera do you use?
WMR Class 730
Toilets seem to always locked out of use on these trains
