Stunning displays I've never seen anything like it. Great music gives the engines an almost haunting appearance. Wonderful video for those of us who appreciate the engineering.
I’m very thankful that I grew up when I did…back in the sixties. I spent countless hours playing with these things..all control line..with the odd free flight glider. I built the planes from both kits and the free plans in Areomodeler Magazine…I still remember the smell of the dope…that certainly wouldn’t be allowed today! I had a variety of engines..I seem to remember the Saber and Merlin engines and also the glow plug Cox engines as well. Then there was the very dangerous JetEx ..excellent for burning your hands and setting your aeroplane alight.. All too dangerous to let 10 and 12 year olds to play with today…think of the cuts on their fingers from the propellers!! Poor kids only have the internet today…we were so lucky …not to have it!
Yes, Martin! I grew up and still live in South Africa, and my first model engine was an ED Baby! I still have the ED Racer and Fury, plus an Ohlssen 10cc sparker. Am now rebuilding vintage R/C boats and planes, converting them from diesel and glow to electric, which is not as exciting as IC engines, and I am at the ripe young age of 81!
Muchas gracias... Esto me llevo a mi infancia, cuando los fines de semana escuchaba desde lejos los motores de los avioncitos, y pedía permiso a mis padres para ir a ver eso que para mí era... hermoso. GRACIAS!
At 1:29 it is very interesting to see the parallel piston inspired Warbler design engine. The Russians used to make them, didn't know some were made in USA, what was their performance like?
these engines must be soooo sooooo LOUD!!! I saw what looks like exahust system( expansion chamber?) before 2:00. But that dosnt help with the noise does it?
I tried finding a video on it. Nothing. Can you explain what it did? How it worked? Was it really a rocket? It was the one engine that stood out to me. Thanks in advance.
Did indian mc ever make model aircraft engines? I have what appears to be a .50/.45 with sparkplug style glowplug. Only ID is indian with warbonnet cast on side of engine and serial# 20113. I have been unable to find any info.
I hade one of those jet engines. It cost me a dollar. First run just about burned down the neighbors garage. I can’t share the rest of the story. Lots of fun for a kid
Wawwww it's like be on a candy store, amazing. In other hand I feel offend cause the 120 FS engine of my actual plane is on exhibition JAJAJAJA. It's a wonderful place. That cheers the dreams
Anyone knows who made the first engine that ran on nitro? I think the very early engines ran on gas. Also, that engine with the strange crankshaft at 1:26, what's the name of that one?
Same here. An HP 40 it nearly took my little finger off when it went from 0 to full chat with one flick. Lethal but bloody powerful. I also had OS, mucky Murco, etc happy days
Correct Dave, majority are CL engines and some with RC throttle. Title could be "Historic model airplane engines". Well... anyways... it's a fantastic collection :-)

What kind of museum is this when you did not even write names of engines properly. First engine in video is Russian "OTM" (company name), "СОКОЛ" (engine name), which means "hawk" in Russian Cyrilic.

Thank you 😉
Way back when I had; Cox .049, DC Merlin, Supre Tigre G15, Merco 29, HP 40RC and a Supre Tigre G29/46RC amongst others. Great memories.
I used to have a 1.3 Mills an ED comp special and a .87 Atco. I was a rubbish model builder but it was great fun.
Hi, brings back many memories of my youth when I built and flew U control line models. Excellent music!!!!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Nice feedback, thanks a lot 😉

It's a few years ago now, but I once saw someone using a Saito 2 stroke engine.. How's that for rare?

The collection needs a MORTON M5 Five Cylinder Radial from the 1940's.
My good friend has 2 morton m 5's. both run very nice.
A lot of good memories👍
Great collection! 2:00 - wrong shield. This engine is Сокол (Falcon)
Wow, 50 seconds in Mew707 rocket engine. Dad had one of those. Haven't ever seen one other than his. Only part I can find is the fire bowl.
I tried finding a video on it. Nothing. Can you explain what it did? How it worked? Was it really a rocket? It was the one engine that stood out to me. Thanks in advance.

Kinda surprised they don't have any Webra, Raduga or MVVS to be honest.
Don't know wich direction the colector was going ;-)

Nice collection. The value of these engines is starting to drop as the people that appreciate them die off sadly.

Few of those engines are R/C engines and virtually none of the planes are R/C.
