As far as I can tell this is unlikely to work in this form. My sim wasn't working after an update so I reset my ipad. I reinstalled 15.5 several times to no avail. Then I downgraded to the previous OS using itunes....that didn't work. Finally I re upgraded it to the current OS (using itunes) and this time it not only worked but also fixed the sim card issue. It appears my 2nd hand ipad pro had maintained a bug that only downgrading and then upgrading the OS could fix....a factory reset did nothing. A basic issue like this would be fixed in 2 mins in windows, linux and android.....on an apple device, 6 hours
Do you have any TH-cam video links for the method you have done? I would like to restore my iPad mini2. I am the first owner and haven't used it for 3 years. It just sat in the box with full charge. I was going to give to a friend but that never happened. When turned on, I was shown with this activation failed screen
Hi Caiz Quest, If your your Mac is running on macOS Catalina o Later, then you need to check the sidebar of your finder, if it is not there, disconnect the devices, restart your Mac and connect the iPad again. It should fix the issue.

Hi Mex Can Drone, Check if you have proper internet connection or not. Most of the time, if you have a strong connection, the problem is fixed. If it is not the problem, try the process again, because, some times it takes more than one try.

Hi Nasiruddin hider Chowdhury, You have to make sure you have a good internet connection, and If your iPad is stuck You need to put it in recovery mode. The Process is little different to Put a older model iPad in recovery mode, but other than that, this process will work.

Hi Rayan Plays, This problem mainly happens due to lack of network, try changing WiFi if possible, it should fix the issue. But if it is stuck, you would need to DFU restore it with PC, its not possible without PC right now.
