This is a part that Pavarotti was born to play. That smirk on his face, that fire in his eyes, the powerful yet playful voice...What a masterful performance

@@eugeniogentili1048 This is a film, not a recording in a studio nor a recording of a live performance. Film has its own methods of recording dialogue and voices, so you cannot compare a film recording to a studio recording or a live performance. When Pavarotti sang in the opera house, voices were not amplified. Performers learned how to project their voices so they reached the very top of tiered seating. Certainly, there were no microphones used for amplification in the 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and at least the very early 20th century because they did not exist. A good number of videos we see today are recordings in studios. The quality of these recordings will be superior to the live recordings. Not the place to discuss microphones for recording purposes in the opera house and in the studio, and microphones for amplification purposes in, for example, outdoor venues. None of the tenors you listed needed to be amplified in the opera house. Neither did Pavarotti. If you enjoy the voices of these other tenors more than Pavarotti, there are many places on TH-cam where you can go and listen to them.
