Yup! Like... the picture May straightens in her bar is literally the same photo in the Cheers bar Sam Malone straightens in the last scene of Cheers. The only downside of them directly referencing Cheers in this episode (and in a few others) vs. the indirect references like the old photo is it made Cheers exist in that world, therefore George Wendt couldn't believably be used for a cameo/guest appearance.

I wish the show touched more on the therapist liking The Prince of Tides. It's a story about a 30-something, chill high school football coach coming to terms with family trauma that peaked around a terrible incident that occured when the guy was a teenager. Also, the relationship he develops with his sister's therapist. Damn good book. But, also, trigger warning about some horrible childhood trauma.
That IS an actual UK morning show. Just like the commentators are, in part, real UK sports commentators, with actors (the former coach Rebecca fired for flashing his balls, plus Roy) mixed in. You guys are way way way too young to know Ted Danson from his most famous show, Cheers. Don't feel bad about that. But his newest show Ted listed, The Good Place, is only from a few years ago and is an amazing show you guys should react to.
They could have a whole web series with Roy coaching kids soccer & I'd watch it! 😃 'It's Jamie' - no far worst! 😃 'Again, we apologize for almost every word Roy just said' - LoL 😃
I love that everyone things that Keeley is looking at Jaime, and when it turns out to be Roy's video instead it's like No, she's not still fantasizing about her ex, she SO into Roy that his vulnerability does it for her! It's a hilarious moment, but also so very sweet. The show makes us scared that she wants Jaime and then hits us with an incredible comedic moment that simultaneously affirms how much Roy is the guy for her

The reason Ted changed his mind about Jamie joining the team was because Sam reminded him how great a dad he has.
